£50 back when purchasing a Apple Watch at Very

2813930.jpgOk, I’m going out on a limb here. Apple & Very in the same post. I’m not expecting this deal to go hot anytime soon.

Very are offering £50 back when you purchase a Apple Watch on 12 months Buy Now Pay Later plan. Prices from £249 for a Series 1 watch. Good price if you’re in the market for one.

Reading the details, this sounds more like 12 month’s interest free credit on an Apple Watch.

That’s right, they’ll credit £50 to your account and this will then reduce the overall cost of the watch by £50. I did it on their previous offer when I got my series 2, I got the credit without issue.

Is this only for new customers? Says the code is not valid for me.
Pretty good deal if I can get that code working

Interest free 12 months fine but I would never trust very with discount codes! A lot of unhappy customers out there including myself.

I’m getting rid of my iPhone yey!!! Can’t wait for the s7

Has anyone tried code stacking with the 20% off for new customers?

is there much difference between series 2 and 3?

Hopefully they will reduce the iphones as well . IOS 11 has killed my 7 phone. Not impressed.

is that not part of the plan so you buy a new one?

Should be fine. I’d wipe it and go for a fresh install.

No sign of this offer on very website...

Are you really going to waste your time on this planet by telling everyone on multiple threads that you're getting rid of your iPhone? You need a hobby.

There is no option for collect plus option for the delivery which £3.99 delivery charge has to be paid. Does anyone know which carrier Very use these days? Thanks

That doesn’t make sense. You still get iOS 11 buying a new one ? Lol

True however you only get a maximum of 1hr talk time on the device using cellular before it dies and, even if you're not likely to use it to talk that much, you'll struggle to see out a full day. The phones are water and dust proof now so it won't hurt to take it with you.

Love you too

I couldn’t get the code working. Has anyone anyone else got same issue?

Dealing with 'VERY' after they haven't honoured the discount code (which is likely) is like p*ssing in the wind........
they're really not worth the hassle.
buy from a reputable seller and save yourselves the headache

Don't buy this item expecting credit, I added the code and no confirmation came up on the screen, I will go to Argos and get my interest free.

I ended up having to phone them, but they were happy to honour the £50 credit and the 12 months Buy Now Pay Later plan.

I bought an iPad Pro from them on a similar deal last year. No complaints from me.

Would this code work if I were to take the credit option then pay it off as soon as possible. Do you think I would still get the £50? Thanks

I think you have to take the Buy Now Pay Later option. The £50 comes off the total in your Very account.

You'd better call the customer service to confirm the promotion is successfully applied to your account before accepting the delivery.

No 42mm Nike with sport loop otherwise I’d be all over this.
Heat added and the code worked perfectly when I tried it.
You can pay of the credit as soon as you’ve set up the 12 months pay later option so a winner if they only had the Watch I want. 🤣

Ok, I’m confused..... I set up a credit account with them, when I then apply the code at checkout it’s invalid? Am I doing something wrong? Or does it not show at point of purchase?

thanks.

No it isn’t you. I have had the same problem trying to buy an iPhone.

When does the deal finish

I too added the code multiple times but nothing showed up, thought I had to press continue at which point the order was placed with no confirmation of the promotional code at all, even though I added it. 3 phone calls later and they had to manually apply the discount, which I can now see on my account.

On the prior phone calls I had been told that it was showing, yet when I received the order confirmation email it wasn’t on there, thus the 3rd call. If you’re not seeing the discount get on the phone to them and get it sorted - when they do it, it will show up online strait away, so don’t let them fob you off with the 45 day nonsense.

Good news is that it’s arriving tomorrow and I got the discount, but I think that’s only due to bothering them so much.

I’ve a question, quite possibly a stupid question, but a question all the same. If I take this out, how early on can I just pay out the total? If I bought today and paid off next week the total, is there any interest etc or a minimum timeframe before buy out clause? Any one did this before?

As long as you pay 12 months for the date of purchase no deferred interest should be charged, theoretically you could make the purchase, pay for it minus the £50 credit promised at anytime from the date of purchase. Keep an eye on your account and if the £50 hasn’t been credited to your account by the date shown in the T&Cs then get on the phone to them.

Judging by the varied comments on the thread Very can be a bit hit and miss when it comes to honouring discounts. The best thing would be to place an order, take screenshots and ring them to confirm the voucher has been applied to the order correctly, this way you have both photographic and verbal proof should there be an issue further down the line.

Thanks for the reply OP, just out of interest, when they say your account is credited with 50, I’m guessing your Very account?, can this be transferred to your bank or is basically a 50 pound off voucher to spend solely in Very?

So you buy a watch for say £200 so that’s your initial liability to Very,at some point (hopefully) they will apply the £50 credit so then your liability is then £150. It’s not a voucher and it can’t be withdrawn for cash, it’s an account credit against the purchase of the watch, well that’s how it worked when I got my Series 2. I never had an issue getting the credit applied previously however as others have said, Very can be quite hit and miss.

Thanks for your post! I have just made my order and am awaiting my confirmation but anticipate I will not be able to see the discount.

For my reference when I call them, did you get a subsequent email confirmation of the discount being applied? Or does it just show in the order summary of your account?

Thanks!

Hi Arron,

When I ordered it didn’t initially show however I got an e-mail confirmation 3 days after the parcel was delivered saying the credit was being processed.

There’ll be no harm in ringing just to confirm that the code has been applied correctly I suppose.
