Relax after a long day with this impressive 50 inch LED TV from LG. With an immersive display it’ll pull you into the heart of your favourite films and, thanks to upscaling technology which improves HD content to near-4K quality, even your DVD collection will look spectacular. The rich visuals are further enhanced by HDR, which broadens the range of colours and increases the depth of contrast, for vibrant on-screen action. You’ll always have something to watch, with the Smart TV apps along with live TV on Freeview HD and Freesat HD. Plus, for even more entertainment, hook up your games consoles and Blu-ray players to the 4 HDMI ports, or connect your external memory in the 2 USB ports to view your photos on the big screen.

How do people record off TVs these days? Sorry if a basic question.

I think most LG tvs support USB recording though I've read a USB hard drive plugged into the mains works better than a USB flash drive. Never tried it myself but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.

I record from my Samsung NU7400 to a USB powered hard drive all the time, via Freesat. Most TV's have a recording function built into the TV guide these days, you just need to attach a USB hard drive.

Go to the Freeview or Freesat guide, find the program you want to record and select the record option. I'd recommend checking the manual for whichever TV you are thinking of buying though.

Can confirm this TV has a recording feature, it's in the specs: lg.com/uk/…PLA

I have a LG TV & can confirm recording is just like the guys have explained above - couldn't be simpler.

Yes, that's right, I use an external USB hard drive myself. Never tried a USB stick as didn't think that it could take so many writes & re-writes without an early demise. Plus ext HD (mine is 500Gb) is much cheaper in comparison per Gb.

Mid range, but good for the price. Not basic, but not amazing.
Currys have 21 UK wide available

Well, at these kinds of prices you cannot expect OLED goodness

Try to visit your nearest Currys to have a look in person before buying if possible (call them prior to visiting to avoid disappointment).

Then buy it from Amazon perhaps, where returns are likely to be better if you don't like it for any reason: amazon.co.uk/d/T…3FL

Sky plus box or a Freeview recorder box.
How good is this tv for gaming? Does anyone know from experience?
AO terrible customer service if you have a problem. Curry price match and customer service
Just got the 55" version of this model as an "open box" reduction locally for £430. Very pleased with it. This looks equally good value.

AO terrible customer service if you have a problem.

Not in my experience. I ordered a Beko washing machine from them a couple of years ago on a Friday. I noticed that their price had dropped by £20 in a flash sale the following Monday so I gave them a call and their customer service agent immediately agreed to refund the difference (AO price match both before purchase and up to 7 days after delivery including their own website price drops). The agent even arranged for free delivery a day earlier than had been available on their website so after thanking him and saying that this sort of service is why I recommend them to friends and family, I ended the call and discovered that he had also added collection and disposal of my old broken washing machine to my order for free, something that normally costs an extra £20. That is what I call great service.
Anyone with this know what its like for gaming? My current LG has a really poor response time/input lag
Showing as £399 for me
