This is a fantastic deal for go karting, though never been to this course, so worth checking out before you buy:

Formula 1 takes its name from first ever mathematical solution, a simple equation that enabled the invention of the wheel. Celebrate that discovery with today's Groupon: for £15 instead of £48, get an hour and a half go-karting experience at F1K.

Protected from the elements and located in a range of locations around the UK, F1K's indoor karting tracks allow racers to focus fully on winning, whether that be beating your competitors or your own fastest time. With tracks of 450m, or 600m in Birmingham, including bridges or back straights, F1K gives drivers the opportunity to release their inner Bowser. Brand new in December, the karts can reach up to 40mph, providing an exhilarating rush for drivers just three centimetres off the ground.

Groupon holders are entitled to a go-karting experience lasting one and half hours at F1K. Within the experience Groupon holders will get a thirty minute instruction and safety session, along with approximately fifty laps of the track. The session will conclude with a summary of your fastest lap times to show off.

This Groupon is available at a variety of F1K locations:
Unit 2, Old Bath Road, Berkshire, SL3 0NN;
Unit 6, Lifford Lane, Kings Norton, Birmingham, B30 3DZ;
Wymeswold Rd, Burton-on-the-Wolds, Loughborough, LE12 5TR;
Forge Road, Gateshead, Newcastle, NE8 2RB

I need to go carting again soon, so much fun. The one nearest to me has carts that can top 70mph!

Sounds good. Any hidden charges once you get there (like with Paintballing!).

yeah, tomorrow you'll get your coucher confirmed and call the track you want to book the day you want. Juste looked on Groupon, almost 5000 sold, better be quick to book I think :-)

Thanks, might well go for this - something for my 12 & 14 year old to do at half term, possibly. Heat added.

Been to the Wymeswold venue a couple of times, decent place and I would go again...if you can get the Groupon price then it's a nice cheap couple of hours of fun (inc. safety bit prior, warm up laps, Grand Prix, presentations)!

Sweet. There's a track right near me.

A few years ago they were doing vouchers with KitKat easter eggs that you could use for a FREE karting sesh. We bought absolutely LOADS of vouchers off eBay and we went most weekend for a few months.

"the karts can reach up to 40mph". Still not fast enough.

Can u actually race against friends or only beat peoples lap times? Is it big enough for overtaking and is it permitted

You do race your friends yes, 1st time I went they did warm up laps followed by Heats and then it split in to 2 GP's one for the fastest half and another for the slower half. 2nd time we did warm up laps followed by one big race. All lap times are tracked and you're given your position and best lap times at the presentation at the end.

Overtaking is fine but they take a dim view of ramming people...not that I did any on purpose and they do feel quite fast given how close to the ground you are.

hot deal but first time i used groupon, so can anyone help me understand what it means by 'after the deal has been closed we'll send you the voucher' does this mean it may not go through?

£21.60 for 20 minutes at our local =/

Not going to be as fun as the outdoor 70mph karts but hey, karting is fun with pedals.

Luton seems to be too far away from any of these places for me though.

It does seem a good deal, but so far they've sold 8,500 of them - can these tracks handle that many people? It can be a prob with some of the big groupon ones that you buy and then can't get a booking for ages.... beware!!

im still struggling to understand how this works:

what is a groupon?
So I can book my visit 9 months after I get the groupon?
what do they mean by "if the deal doesnt tip" in checkout section?
whats the refund policy?

Groupon is a website that companies use to put promotions on in the form of vouchers. People buy the voucher from groupon, then redeem the offer which has already been paid for within the period that the voucher is valid for.

The vouchers can sometimes be used at different locations, to book a certain location just call the location and quote your voucher number.
