Simply take a working laptop (doesn't matter how old or knackered it is) and get £50 off your new laptop or netbook.

not strictly true condition does matter, it has to work ie boot to windows have a charger and be in reasonable state no missing keys and such. and its not just collect at store either.

not a good deal then

Unless you have a really old laptop that meets their criteria (worth under £50) and they sell a laptop that is a good deal compared with elsewhere (they sometimes have good offers, but not most of the time), this offer is unlikely to be worth it.

Which laptop do they have which you couldn't buy for £50 less elsewhere anyway?

lol!!! And you can get more for your laptop if you sell it privately if it can boot to windows & has a charger with it.

I traded my broken laptop without a charger! It still worth a try! The staff did not even check condition. Mind you, when I bought my new laptop, the store was very busy as it was bank holiday weekend.

I've got a very old laptop, but no optical drive on it - so doesn't meet the criteria. Voted cold, sorry, as anything that meets the criteria is likely to worth >£50.

I said "working". And you tell me where it says in the T&Cs that it has to boot to Windows..

I have a 5 year old Acer laptop and it isn't worth a toss. If I trade that in against a netbook it kinda makes sense.
