Thought this was a decent offer for those with younger kids or those with autistic kids since schools & lea's are usually very good with permission for term time absence for them & their siblings. My bil / sil are taking my nephew who was recently diagnosed with autism as a kind of trial run to see how he'd cope with the Butlin's experience & at just £21 if it goes wrong they haven't wasted a huge amount of money.
They're also doing Just for Tots Day Family passes for the same price, will pop link in 1st post
Enjoy a fantastic family day out at Butlin's during a term time date. So much to enjoy - from Funfair rides to swimming and outdoor sports to entertainment. And for something extra special, they've got a range of affordable treats too including go-carts, climbing walls and mini-golf.

Butlin's, Bognor Regis is perfectly located on the beach at this small, pretty, easygoing, accessible resort (only an hour and a half hour from Central London), which just happens to be Britain's sunniest location!

Unfortunately I've been to this butlins at least 3 times in 40 years, some never learn & mostly after a supposed refurbishment. The last time was admittedly about 18 years ago. We decided to eat on site for one night. Everyone in the restaurant was left waiting over 70 minutes just for their starters to arrive by the time the main course turned up many had given up and taken sleeping kids home. There was no apology, no offer to reduce the bill and when I said I would pay what I felt the meal was worth 50% (and believe me it was bad) and leave my address as the law required, everyone then said the same. I was told they would call security and kick us all off site that instant and wouldn't be allowed to continue our stay.
Never going back, not even if they paid me.

They must be doing something right as people still go in droves. Took kids about 5 years ago between Christmas and New Year. Kids enjoyed it. Think a day pass has its advantages as you get to experience what's on offer before forking out a small mortgage. Think there might be an evening entertainment restriction though.

Pool is great, but lots of places have slide and wave machines now. It also gets packed. We left the queue to get in twice! I also know they have built more hotels on site since so guessing the pool is never empty. Annoyed me to think that I'd paid so much to stay on site but had to compete with day trippers.

I'd advise people to get there early and pack a picnic. Plenty of food there but not cheap.

We go at least one a year young kids 5 and 1 love it., its rough round the edges, we stayed for 4 night last year, and never felt bored. Great place, i don't think either of the posted before can comment having not been in years

Butlins is horrendous. Why people still go there on holiday amazes me.

Can't comment on the children's holidays or these day trips, but the adult weekends (Fri-Mon) are superb. Far exceeded my expectations with good quality accommodation (clean, modern) and lovely grounds and layout. I have been to two in the last 12 months, one at Bognor and one at Minehead, plus those I know who have visited Skeggy have said that is probably the best location of the lot. The Adult Weekends (i.e. 80's, 90's, etc.) - highly recommended!

We go on £8,000+ Caribbean all-inc holidays, £5,000 Mediterranean 5* all-incs AND Butlins (and Haven) UK breaks. Plus, hotels and lodges in places such as St Ives. Variety is the key, plus not having to fly/travel and the pleasure and convenience of having your car to take day trips out whilst on location. Butlins family of four in peak times(Jul/Aug) £1k.

You are a great example of ignorance is bliss and speaking with no knowledge or experience of the facts! Stop living in the past, but if you must, please don't try to contaminate those of us with a wider, more balanced outlook.

I went here Feb last year with low expectations and was actually very impressed. The apartments are basic but clean, the entertainment excellent and the pool was fun but busy I agree. They do recommend going early in the morning to beat the crowds, we didn't so expected to queue for the rides and it wasn't too bad. If I were to go again I would buy the queue jumping wrist bands as some people queue very early for the evening entertainment and then do the annoying thing where they put bags and coats over spare chairs to reserve them for friends and family leaving nothing for other people!
To give you an idea of price we paid £250 for 3 nights (Fri-Mon) at the end of Feb half term, this was for 3of us. I think it was cheaper as I booked the Oct before but I also managed to pay the full amount using Tesco clubcard vouchers so worked out really well for us!
After being really impressed with Butlins for a cheap weekend away we thought we would try Pontins this year - NEVER again!

Now this is a prime example of someone who just wants to argue.

I voiced my opinion, which may not be to everyone's liking however to accuse me of being ignorant and having no knowledge is absolutely ridiculous!
You don't know me, you don't know my travelling or holiday history.
For your information I'm very well travelled abroad and in the UK including the likes of Butlins and In my opinion Butlins breaks are awful.

It's called freedom of speech.

You stated an extreme opinion, contrary to the majority and made no attempt to substantiate that claim. I note in particular the use of the phrase "the likes of Butlins" (thus, conversely NOT Butlins!). Incredibly ignorant and bereft of any facts. So much so, it could easily be considered slanderous.
PS: I note you still state no facts to substantiate your off hand ignorant remark!

3 times in 40 years and you feel you can pass judgement now based on that? Sure bet it might have been run down in 1976

I however have been 3 times in the last 2 years - and cannot recommend it enough. Kids always kept busy and good entertainment. Bognor is literally on the beachfront.

I think you need to get of your high horse.

I stated my opinion if you don't agree with it or like that's your problem.

So, a completely baseless claim from someone who clearly has never visited Butlins and yet alleges that it is "horrendous". Plus, I agree, I would happily choose to not read your posts, but your negative contributions could sway others from visiting what is a great facility, all because of your ignorance and scaremongering. Thus, you would be doing us all a favour by not posting such irrelevance. Please stop digging!oO

8k for a jolly! fair play if you can...

Stayed there last year. The place is a dive. There is barbed wire all round the site, and I can only think it was there to keep the people IN, not out. Our chalet would best be described as a dump (look at my Tripadvisor photos); cupboard doors hanging off, rust on the hob and mould on the walls. I complained and got offered a 50% discount voucher for my next visit. Er....

(added) Ah. Hang on. Wife has just reminded me that was PONTINS at Camber Sands (blame the vino). We Have stayed here though (on a Beatles weekend), and it was nice. Sorry!

I gave them a 2nd and 3rd chance, how many do they need. I know it's on the beachfront, I've had bad sunburn on the beach twice (not whilst staying at Butlins) but each time they've supposedly refurbished the accommodation it's been riddled with mould and musty. The staff were grumpy and customer service terrible, it was like a POW camp.

Once again.... my statement is based on facts! Facts from my own experience of visiting Butlins.
But if you feel you know more about where I spend my free time please continue.

Also worth noting that LB say after booking you need to give 48hrs notice (Butlins just say 24hrs on their website) and you have to park in the pay and display carpark. I haven't been in 20 years, interested to see if its changed much.
