Yes only on food. Still a very good deal.

50% off food means you get a half size portion. A better deal would be 50% off the price of food or 50% off the bill.

*Terms and conditions:

50% off your bill: This offer entitles you to receive 50% off your food bill (excludes drinks). You can use this voucher any time after 6pm on Wednesday 28 September 2016 and Thursday 29 September 2016. Offer only valid on these dates. Subject to availability and can't be combined with another offer on the same visit. Cannot be used in conjunction with our £7.99 and £10.99 set menus, kids' meal deal, starter bundle offer or the £5.99 Earlybird dishes in selected sites. No cash alternative and it is not valid with breakfast or takeaway. One voucher per party. Promoter is Mitchells & Butlers Retail Ltd trading as Harvester Restaurants. Offer excludes Harvester Moto.

Harvester team – how to redeem: 1. Ring in order 2. Go to the PAY screen 3. Select REDEEM DIGITAL VOUCHER 4. Scan the QR code or type in the number on pay screen.

Please check our website before you visit, as some of our restaurants are currently being refurbished and you may prefer to visit another Harvester nearby.

We think you’re a pretty big deal. So consider yourself officially invited to sit back, relax and enjoy an exclusive 50% off your food bill* after 6pm at our VIP nights on 28 and 29 September. Book a table for you and your friends and order up all your favourites – or why not have a taste of something new? It’s half price, after all…

If you register on the app, the voucher is on the app, just signed up and booked a table for Thursday. Thanks OP

So you usually only have a £4 starter then to only save a couple of quid?? A main meal is usually a tenner. So you save a fiver on that. If you are a party of 4 having just mains that's a £20 saving.!

I guess they mean in comparison to the usual offers like set menus etc. This is better as it is more flexible.

Set menus are all well and good but lack choice as you say... and usually the cheaper choices.

I tried to reserve a table at my local harvesters and they are all fully booked , on both days, but was a good offer if your were going out for a meal.

Good deal but wouldn't go if the food was free. Never had a good meal at any Harvester.

Can be hit and miss... been to a few... quality definitely varies.

I received an email about this a couple of days ago, had an alert pop-up on my phone from the Harvester app that I installed a few months back to take advantage of an offer, and also had a friend tell me about the deal so I think as a promotion it's been quite heavily pushed...

which to be honest has totally put me off taking advantage this time around as the 'service' at my local Harvester is average at best even on a quiet day, when it's busy in there it's an absolutely awful experience at any price, they're frequently clearly understaffed and not only are the wait times terrible but everyone feels so rammed in that during your extended visit you're subjected to a cacophony reminiscent of a busy school canteen.

I haven't bothered to check availability of tables but even if there was one spare I really wouldn't want to subject myself to the experience. For me Harvester food is of an average standard but a bit over-priced so unless the car park's half empty and I can use some kind of promotion I'll prefer to give it a miss and either cook myself or go elsewhere.

Does the voucher work with takeaway orders?

Booked a table, thanks OP. This is to launch their new menu, which will probably be more expensive. My local is not launching it yet but they are still offering the 50% discount.

Yes, but you have to take the table that you've booked away with you too!

Yes, because whenever I see a car with "50% off" written on it, I always assume they're selling half a car (_;)

You can stack the quidco with your "Everyday Offers" cashback when paying with a Bank of Scotland, Halifax or Lloyds debit card. I've seen 15% cashback on offer for Harvester through that so worth logging in and checking yours to activate it.

No

I signed up on line about 2 hours ago and not received an Email. I installed the App from google play but cannot find any reference to this offer. Is it genuine?

VIP nights at Harvester? Seriously? What's next - culture nights at McDonalds or opera soirées at KFC?

do you have to book or just turn up on the day to use the voucher

Yes you need to book as it was all booked up in my local

We had a meal tonight at our local. Worst meal i have ever had. The BBQ ribs were just plain ribs with no BBQ sauce. We get told that it's just the table sauce they smear on them after they are cooked. So I am expected to finish your job that you're paid to do. Also sauces that come on the plate were missing, chips were awful, chicken quarter was quarter of a quail, pepper was burnt, chorizo sausage was burnt and the gammon bite (not half a gammon steak as it's meant to be) was also burnt. Can't forget the flat coke either

Well done harvester!

Sounds like you had the meal I had. Yes it was a lot smaller than I expected. Wish I'd taken a picture for a review! Chips were nice though.
