This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

66 stores nationwide offering this discount for all NHS workers and Emergency Service Personnel.

Information:
(from yosushi.com/off…unt)

Not all heroes wear capes - At YO! we are extremely grateful to all of the NHS workers who are working tirelessly & selflessly during this critical time. To say thanks, we are increasing our Blue Light Card discount to 50% on all food including takeaway orders.

If you're a member of the emergency services or the NHS, we want to show you some YO! love by giving you discount off food in our restaurants.

Get a code from the Blue Light Card website or app. Then eat at one of our restaurants, show us the code and your card when you pay your bill and get your discount. That's it.

the small print:
  • Your 50% off is for food you eat in a YO! restaurant and for a limited time only it will be valid on takeaway too. You can't use it for drinks or to buy YO! gift cards.
  • For a limited time only, your discount will be valid every day of the week.
  • You can use your discount at all UK YO! restaurants except Heathrow T2, T3 and YO! Kitchen White City.
  • You can only use one code per transaction.
  • If your bill is more than £100, then you won't be able to use the discount.
  • You can't give your offer code to anyone else. There isn't a cash alternative, and you can't use it with any other offer or promotion.
  • What the manager says goes - so if they say you can't have the discount, then you can't have the discount. (Sorry.)
  • We can remove or change this offer any time we want to. We'll try not to let the power go to our heads.

Lol working full time we can't even buy food from a supermarket...

Sorry but this one can just ****off. They've closed most of their stores today, laying off staff. My daughter no longer has a job.

Thanks!

But its gonna take more than some free sushi to stem the coming Tsunami.
"Then eat at one of restaurants"
Emergency Services will be their only customers once martial law is enacted.

So perhaps now is the time for everyone to show each other compassion instead of having a biggest chicken competition over who has it worse?

And who are you to pass judgement on somebodies employment? It doesn't matter if she works for NASA or hospitality, the young lady has lost their livelihood and their parent is more than justified in being upset over it.

Yo! Sushi posting this paltry gesture of heroism by jumping on the free food for NHS bandwagon when the majority of their chains are closed and they've laid off the staff that have made them their revenue in the first place, is just pathetic misdirection to save face to the public.

I work in hospitality management and our company is actively doing what it can to CONTINUE paying Its staff whilst reducing risk so I fully support above poster's anger at their daughter being laid off with essentially no notice.
This level of discount should be the norm. Who’s gonna go out now !! Basically enticing them and get ill.

Exactly my thoughts every time see one of these offers. At least the NHS staff have safe jobs and are able to work and get paid
I'm pretty sure yo sushi already offered this... Or was it just over Christmas maybe

What percentage of NHS workers are on this site?
And what percentage of that tiny number are going to have the time to browse this site, if they're as understaffed and overcapacity as Bongo Jonhjobs would have us believe they aren't?

And of that tiny number...how many of them are gonna care at this point? Every corporate entity and its mother is offering mild discounts to try and make themselves look good in the public eye in time of crisis.

How about free for these workers they're pretending to care about with these promotions, instead of a lame drink or % off? C'mon, one up each other at least...
And the teachers that are also putting themselves at risk? ? ?

Safe jobs? Interesting use of the word. Sure, they’re not likely to be made redundant but no one working in a healthcare environment is remotely safe right now. Are you aware of just how many Italian medics have caught this?
50% discount just shows how much markup there is usually then!
Can I show my NHS badge or has to be a blue light card? Sorry if someone has already asked. Too many unnecessary comments to scroll through

Yeh saw one job - toilet roll security guard
I'll have to stop giving my business to all these companies giving away freebies. As it's average Joe public who'll end up footing the bill for it.
All these companies who try to jump on the bandwagon offering discounts and freebies to NHS, make a calculation that whatever cost it may be for them as a business, the PR will worth more in the long-term.

Indeed, teachers are also considered key-workers
Teachers should also be on the list, they should be kept in par with the NHS staff. Don’t know why everyone keeps forgetting about them.
Why don’t people just ask the company for a discount for their profession rather than moan about it into the empty void that is internet comments.
Much appreciated but that photo looks like something that came out of the Wuhan food market that started the problem to begin with..
Well done Yo! What about people from 16 restaurants closed in one day!? Useless company

What about supermarkets and depots workers?
The girls in the supermarkets have to go into work and this is arguably one of the more dangerous plaçes to be. On top of that they have to put up with people who treat them like dirt.

Point taken about the word 'safe', although the majority of the population will contract the virus in time (since that's the plan). I obviously meant they currently have a job, are receiving full pay and will continue to have a job once this is over, while others will not, despite government efforts. There will be people worrying about how they are going to afford to eat and pay the rent.
What load rubbish, it's not even usual stuff, but blue light .. I'm a ambulance driver and not class as emergency service .. a joke all these offer free coffee and free food or 50% + off its rubbish and just a way off free advertising...
Thanks for posting; we have added your thread to the Highlights section

They’re just jumping on the bandwagon for the publicity whilst knowing full well that they’re going to shut up shop soon so barely any NHS staff member will be able to take this offer up.

I agree with you and I don’t want to be cynical but I think it was pretty obvious earlier this week that restaurants and takeaways will have to close their doors sooner or later. I feel like these guys offered this promotion knowing fully well that it’ll actually be impossible to take up any of these offers. They all just did it for the publicity.
It's great to see the solidarity for NHS staff but would be better to see support which includes the nation's teachers too who are still to ensure that NHS parents can still do their jobs!
