Hi guys,

Not sure if it's been posted, but saw this in Currys/PC World when I went in to buy a cordless Dyson, you get £50 off when you trade in any old vacuum, it doesn't even need to work.

I gave in a broken one, with missing parts, that wasn't even worth £30 brand new and they took it without even looking at it.

You can also use that £50 off the purchase price.

Offer ends on 22 /10/19

Hope it helps someone!

Yes you can purchase what you please on your next purchase. Or as the OP said, you can use it to purchase the vacuum on the page linked when you click get deal
Cheapest cordless is the v6. You can get it 50 pounds off via mse without the faff of trading in your old one.

I traded in an old broken vacuum. Can't remember the brand, but I was told they'll take anything, it didn't even have all the parts.

I used the £50 off my purchase, but they email you a gift card, so use it on whatever you want.

Heat...on the basis that it seems you can use the £50 gift code on anything!?

What's better, the V6, or the V7? Seems like you can get the V7 for the same price, if you 'faff trading in your old one'.
honest question not sarcastic

Yeah, I bought the Dyson V8 and used the voucher towards it.
Ohhh does this work with the small hand held ones or does it have to be a proper one ?

I’ve read the V8 is easier to empty than the V6 and V7

Yes the V8 is easier to empty.
I was confusing myself by reading these comments but I have got some clarification: In order to get the £50 voucher you have to trade in an old vacuum AND buy an eligible Dyson, but you can use the voucher on ANY purchase, either your shiny new Dyson or a future purchase.

Yep, handheld as well

If you have a dc08 or similar I would defo keep the old one. Far better vacuum cleaner than the v8 we have.

The v8 is fine and good for a quick vacuum and is very light.

However, it doesnt last long, you have to keep your hand on the trigger which is a pain, it doesnt pick up slightly larger items eg broad bean size or larger, its unreliable as already on the 2nd floor attachment, gets blocked easily, feels very brittle. finally for me it's useless for cleaning a car both in terms of size, having to hold the power on trigger, attachments and run time.

The only downsides to the dc08 are weight and power cord.

Can you trade in a handheld vacuum - keep the voucher. Trade in a "proper" vacuum. Then take £100 off a dyson?

I have: 38490045-TxYzm.jpg

I'd like to see if they would accept both for £100...even if it means going into 2 different stores :P

If only. I actually tried trading in two at the same time, and I was told they'd only give me £50.

You'd have to make the purchase to get the voucher anyway, so wouldn't be possible across two stores.
You have to purchase a dyson??

Not very clear from what i am reading

Ive got a hoover..well when i say hoover i mean vacuam and when i say vacuam i mean some bags for a really old one..wonder if they will accept that

I think u take in an old vacuum and they give you £50 gift card for anything BUT you have to buy a Dyson and then you can use that card to take £50 off your new dyson or off anything else. Someone correct me if I’m wrong

Yes, if you buy two Dyson's....
Good 1st deal, heat added
When you go in Instore and hand them your old vacuum would they give you £50.00 gift card straightaway in your hand or email you?? After you get the £50.00 do you need to buy a Dyson Instore and spend that voucher.
No!!!! You take a old vacuum in, a new dyson is £300 say, you can use that voucher to get £50 off the dyson OR you buy the dyson for £300 and use the voucher for £50 off anything. You HAVE to buy the Dyson first

You probably could do this.....if you're a rather dishonest person. I get HUKD is all about saving money but I'd like to think most people have at least some constraint with regard to abusing offers in the way you suggest. Alternatively those in a extremely perilous financial situation might be tempted and I'd have a little more sympathy there (but should they really be making purchases at Currys if they are?)

A lawyer would see it differently as long as it isnt illegal i guess its fine

May not be moral but the way the world is people get screwed over left right and center for everything and by everyone
Odd. After the 50 quid off the prices come to the same as John lewis.

Will add heat.

Dyson_outlet have the V8 Absolute Pro, which includes the fluffy head which the Animal doesn’t, for £279.99. They’re sold as refurbished but per a recent deal on here they’re actually brand new - I bought one and it is, with a 2 year guarantee. It was sealed in the usual retail packaging and was delivered the next day.
