was looking for some new dinner sets for our new place and my step mums always banging on about how good denby is - plates are just plates to me and the prices here are usually heart wrenching.

seem to be fairly priced now though and will make for a nice Christmas present

The james martin everyday dinner ware is brilliant, very strong and even with the scrapes and hits it gets from time to time when putting them on the dish rack, there's not a single scratch. very heard wearing for everyday and wash well. From the weight you can tell they are very good quality dinnerware.
Good deal Denby is brilliant quality!
Did you have to pay postage?
dont forget 3% quidco too
These sets are brilliant quality. Picked two sets up from Tesco last year for £15 each. Would have been happy even at this price.

some sets are out of stock on their website but in stock on their ebay store, selling at full price on ebay though
We bought Denby because everyone banged on about how great quality it was. 7 years on, it hasn't lasted "like they used to". My inlaws have the set they got whenever they were married, ours is needing replacing as there se a lot of chips, cracks
Ha! oddly it's slightly cheaper to buy plates and bowls seperately

Are yours stoneware? i think that's stronger
i'm looking at these, i might get some:

"Stoneware clay is very strong. It is fully vitrified (the surface is made glassy and non-porous) which gives it strength, durability and chip resistance.

What set do you have though? Is it the 'real' Denby- ie £15 a mug ....£25 a plate ...or one of these 'not made in the UK' cheap sets with the Denby name stamped on them for about £50 or £60.

Proper Denby is quality...but Expensive. But will last. The cheaper stuff, which is what I think you refer to, is cheap Chinese stuff imported and then stamped up in the UK....that stuff isn't really Denby and shouldn't be expected to last like the normal expensive Denby.
Use code 10OFF100C for another 10% off if spending over £100
When does this offer finish? Good plates for a restaurant?

Full properset as far as I was aware by the price of it, Natural Blue. Your comment highlights the problem though, they're devaluing their brand reputation by having budget sets, or mixed sources.
