Was phoned within a few days and offered my previous package (family+movies) for half price for a year.

Would that work?

"All TV Bundles are subject to a £10 installation fee"
lol!
they will call you back.
I do this every year.
How is this different to any other media company? They all offer loss leader deals to attract new customers knowing that a significant percentage of them won't be arsed to renegotiate their contracts once all the Brucie bonus offers run out.
At the time I was offered £10 line rental without having to pay the year up-front as I did last year, free BB and £1.50 off my Variety pack. I said no and cancelled the lot there and then and was given my MAC code over the phone.
Signed up with ee for BB and phone the next day.
A few days later sky phoned asking if I would mind answering some 'leaving customer-relations' survey questions. Q3 asked if I would have stayed if I had been offered a better deal. I said yes at which point the survey went out of the window and was offered £14pm for my TV pack.
I told the guy that if I had been offered that on the day I cancelled I would have agreed to stay. However, because I had already begun the migration of the phone and BB, they had lost my business, possibly for good.
There's no doubt deals are done every day like this Groupon one and this time next year I might consider going back. In the meantime, Freeview/Youview/Freesat/NowTV/Netflix will do me, just like sJ23 has said.
Good-ish deal if you're eligible.
Stick it in your husband/wife/dogs name!
I cancelled yesterday as was paying nearly £118 for everything, the best they offered was a saving of £18 unless I reduced my package. I just have Sky fibre now and if I can live with just broadband i'll be cancelling that also to go with someone else.
oh well.
gonna switch bband to BT for the free BT sport
Yep, then in 12 months, you can take out another policy as you've become a new customer again.
Rinse and repeat.
Aren't they going to say that there is a Sky account already at that address? Sorry, I'm keen to know as I would dearly love to reduce my Sky costs.
No.
Cancel your current account, set up the new account for the expiry date of your old one (even if it overlaps it doesn't matter)
Not bad price. I get the same for £42.77 at the minute.
Anyone know please. I want all channels including movies and sport. We also seem to have something called sport 5 at the moment. Might be extra football channels but not sure. Partner not here to ask at the moment.
I don't want any broadband with them though and worried this might be in the Complete Bundle.
Thank you.
Can I ask you something, have you ever called up and asked for a discount? I have, every year in fact and have never had to pay full price subscription. Usually between 30% and 50%, I dont need to threaten to leave I just ask if I can get any discound on my package.
