First of all you have to register on that site. Then you go back to the deal information page and click "log in" at the bottom, this should change to "access this offer" after you've logged in with your email and password.
Id suggest those with Android phones try before you buy (if intending to use it when "mobile"). Very flakey performance on anything but offlien mode on my Galaxy s2 and its a widely reported issue. They'll fix the issue eventually - there is meant to be a huge android update soon.

£10 a month is a bargain. £5 is unreal!

I would delete that post if I were you. It won't work for long once 20000 HUKD users try it on all of the different sites. If it is an old card it shouldn't matter too much it but it is best to keep personal information to a minimum on the main boards.

its an old expired card, I have another card that is mine and in date.

I'm 38 and have an NUS student card Very pleased to get this deal as I was weighing up whether £10 was worth it... £5 definitely is! Pays for my NUS card in 3 months so double bargain!!
will this deal be available forever - like till next year? i wouldnt want to build up my collection of music on it then have to start paying 10 a month
spotify.com/uk/…ay/ - this is the direct link to the site where you put in your NUS extra number. Nice one
FYI - for those saying they have a NUS student card - you need a NUS EXTRA card that is £11 a year. Anyway excellent deal and I have signed up!!

Just read the terms and conditions, it appears to be valid for 12 months after you activate. If you already have a premium account then it'll be activated from the time that your membership expires. If you deactivate your membership then re-activate at a later date, you can still access this offer for the remaining months left on your discount period. Someone please correct me if I've misread it.

T&Cs are here btw:

Great deal. Might renew with Spotify again
Good deal. It's just a shame that what with all that student debt the poor loves are always reminding us about, it will be just another thing they can't afford to pay for along with alcohol, drugs, Doc Martens and John Lennon glasses.
If I bought an NUS card now, would it expire in a few months? I graduate this academic year but wouldn't mind buying one now and paying for the annual subscription.
I'd also like to know if it'll expire when I graduate or a year from purchase?
Signed up - a fiver a month is decent and can cancel at any time

It's £10 anyway you weirdo!
Was able to update my existing Premium account to include the discount. Just go through the NUS site, then use your existing Spotify login details and it will do it automatically for you.

I use Spotify for Android on my Samsung Galaxy II and the performance is fine. However, on my older handset (HTC Hero) it didn't work brilliantly after an resource hungry update was pushed through.
I'm 42 and still a student :-D

Do you mean this:
"Please note that all NUS extra discounts are valid from the 5 August 2011 to 31 August 2012, unless stated otherwise in the discount terms and conditions."

If so then the T&Cs for the spotify student offer do say that it expires 12 months from the date of activation and makes no mention of the date of your NUS extra card expiring, so I would think that this constitutes one of these exceptions it mentions.

Even if it does expire at the end of August, then you'll have still made up the price of the card within those 3 months in savings wouldn't you? That's not even including some of the other savings.
Signed up earlier and forgot to stick it on here! This'll get volcanic!
So this has been going since last year? News to me!
Well that'll make me sign up again! Does anybody know if you have to wait for the card to arrive before you can get the discount?

I guess they did this due to Rdio becoming available in the Uk today. Anywho, still an awesome deal and finally give the NUS extra card some real value :P

TuneIn Radio (Free) has most of this if you choose the right stations.

Depends who you study with. Open University students can, but I don't know about private companies like ICS.
Talk about **** money down the drain. Grooveshark is free, use Dood's music player on your android (also free) or tiny shark.

Sorry, but Spotify is faster, less glitchy, more user friendly, more choice, and just better. Shall I go on?

£60 a year though. And what do you have after the year?
£120 a year without the discount lol. Not worth it for a slightly better service in my book.

I don't want to listen to other peoples music, I want to listen to what I want! So for me it's definitely worth the money

With the premium you can have as many songs as you managed to download to keep offline as far as I understand.
