I used to like La Tasca, but lately the fact the food is just microwaved crap, has changed my opinion - especially when they can't even leave it in the microwave for long enough.

I agree with the above. Went last weekend as we have always enjoyed going. It was rubbish. £6.00 for 6 king prawns - prawns were so small!!! All other Tapas were all sauce and no meat. Shan't be rushing back, deal or no deal

I went to La Tasca on Saturday for the first and last time. My girlfriend goes to Salsa lessons there and it was one of her mates' 40th, so it made sense to eat there before dancing at the same venue.

First shock - I went to buy myself a pint of Carlsberg and a glass of house dry white wine for the birthday girl. £11! I gave the waiter a tenner and he told me I needed another quid, turns out it was £7.20 for a bog-standard glass of house wine!

Second - I brought the drinks upstairs to the restaurant to find the starters there. Or so I thought. Me and the girlfriend ordered the £30 selection for two to find that the starters were the whole thing. The rice was tasteless, the meatballs were plainly microwaved cheap ones, etc etc.

The girlfriend got a bit annoyed as I kept going on about it for 5 minutes. But I have never, ever caused a scene in a restaurant - if I don't like the place i'll simply not return and will give my concerns to the staff if they ask. But this was something else - microwave food, and very little of it, for £30.I'd have paid a third of that in Wetherspoons and got both more and better.
