Tell me more....
One of the most striking and enduring visual legacies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games that united London in 2012 the ArcelorMittal Orbit was designed by sculptor Sir Anish Kapoor and engineer Cecil Balmond. It's extraordinary looping structure has become a byword for design innovation and playful invention.

Made of 35,000 bolts and enough steel to make 265 double-decker buses, the ArcelorMittal Orbit offers extraordinary 20-mile views over Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the London skyline. Steel was partly chosen as a building material for its infinite recyclability – 60% of the ArcelorMittal Orbit is made from recycled steel, including washing machines and used cars.

The ArcelorMittal Orbit stands tall as Britain’s largest sculpture, part of the Olympic legacy that transformed East London, and a landmark in its own right, transfixing and delighting visitors with its offer of a unique view of a city.
With sweeping panoramic views of the city from the UK’s tallest sculpture, it is the perfect way to keep the kids entertained this half term!

The ArcelorMittal Orbit is the tallest sculpture in the UK. The viewing galleries are accessed by two high speed lifts and provide stunning panoramic views across 20 miles of London. Innovative screens allow visitors to learn about key sights across the capital from The Shard and St Paul’s to Canary Wharf and the world-famous sporting venues of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. There’s also two incredible mirrors created by one of the sculpture’s creators Sir Anish Kapoor which flip and twist the horizon.

Exciting and memorable family day out this Half Term!

They have the audacity to charge for going up this piece of scaffolding..?
Slide not included, still under construction
'Ascend by lift and descend the 455 stairs!'

And pay for that?!
Seriously!!
Pay to go up a taxpayer funded red scaffold tower.
Lemmings
I've heard that Bin Ben is a load of rubbish
why we have to pay again
