Only worth it for Alexandra Daddario oO

Rubbish series. Unfortunately the only thing good about series 1 is that it was better than series 2.

Yeah, I was expecting much more. They setup all the King in Yellow references and then wimped out of paying them off.

Haven't watched series 2 yet, is it really that bad!

I saw it more as a character study of two fascinating people played by a couple of actors at the top of their game. Best thing since Sopranos / Wire etc.

Excellent series, really enjoyed it. Well worth £7.99

Superb series (yes; including the final episode)

If you want to watch it, just get a now tv pass for £1 they are in the box sets .

I didn't like Season 1 that much. But oddly found Season 2 more entertaining. Apart from that final episode.

I second "The wire" more than "The Sopranos"...because for some reason i struggled to get through the first two episodes...might give it a shot again especially since there isn't much on offer for my palate at the moment.

First series of "True Detectives" was brilliant. Woody and Mathew perfomances were on par with kevin spacey on House of cards...i think the second series took a beating with the critics (more so on pizzolato) but it wasn't that bad. Vince was adequate Colin and Rachel sold it but i felt Kitsch wasn't convincing. It's always hard to follow a good series perfomance from the predecessors anyway.

series 1 was brilliant if like something that actually has a excellent story and characters series 2 just a bit behind but always the same with a second installment of something

The Sopranos was a slow starter that's for sure. Series 1 I watched only because everyone else was saying it was so good. Series 2 I enjoyed. But it wasn't until series 3 that it really hit its stride and became essential TV.

Just finished season 1 today. Great acting from the 2 main actors (WH and MM) and the story at times was very good (pretty dark at times tbh) but overall I thought it was nothing more than slightly above average and the ending was alright (nothing special) - so I don't get what all the hype was about it at the time. Worth the £7.99 for the series though if you don't mind using blinkbox so heat added.

I'm not good with names but you thought that the weird detective (i.e. not woody from cheers, the other guy) was well acted? I wish I thought the same!

Update: I did finish season 1 but have given up on season 2.

Blinkbox emailed me the other day to tell me that all of my previous purchases would be moved over to my Ultravilot account (if the content was available there). I only had Amazing Spider-Man 2 in my account to move over and I assumed it was because of the change of ownership from Tesco to TalkTalk. Would this also be eligible for the Ultraviolet migration?

Yes, it is. Lead male actors of Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn. They just aren't the right actors for the roles - each made their characters far too boring. It seemes like the roles were written with Billy Bob Thornton (for Farrell) and Ray Liotta (for Vaughn) in mind.

Watched the 1st series as my OH liked it. She gave up halfway through series 2. Watched it until the end hoping it would improve. It didn't.

Yeah, season 2 was terrible. If you liked S1, you'll probably not like S2. I only watched to the end to see if it improved, and it ended even worse than it started. Huge disappointment.

season 2 was exellent too. Not sure why everyone wants disney endings?

Brilliant series, worth watching

LOVED the first series, not so keen on the second. Bring back Rust and Marty!
