In order to qualify for this offer, Privilege must be unable to beat your existing car insurance renewal quote

I think richard9366 is correct in saying Swiftcover were £1.40 cheaper and Privilege £1.40 dearer, allowing £50 claim

Swiftcover were £1.40 cheaper than Privilage hence why they had to honour there £50 deal and therefore make it a bargain for me

Fantastic deal.

I just renewed my policy as Tesco wanted £238, Esure was the best at £198, but need my proof of no claims within 10 days, but Tesco will only send that when my policy expires in 14 days. I checked the price keen for my £50, but the swines managed to massacre the price. I suppose I must be Privileged in somebodies eyes. They quote £181 so I will cancel my other on and take this one out. If you are about to renew then you might be lucky. I used Gocompare, Moneysupermarket .com and confused.com and some of the direct companies like more, aviva (Norwich Union) and some others. Confused had me at £298 so I am still in shock at the price difference. Heat added and I will go to Morrisons and get some of the bottles of Grolsch for a pound to celebrate.:p:-D:w00t:

The £50 will be given to the customer in the form of £50 discount off the policy premium.

Car insurance is very subjective in my experience. Im 27, and Admiral are by far the cheapest insurer for me.... £550 for an insurance group 20 car [ audi RS4 ] and the next best quote is £1115 [ all via confused.com ].

I recommend trying all the ' supermarkets ' first and then getting the cheapest quote and see if it has quidco cashback and go direct through the site. You even pick up a golden nugget for searching through quidco.... result... however my recent service with audi managed to make me physically cry!

Confused.com have never come up with anything within a mile of best price for me. Most of these comparison sites have commercial arrangements with insurers and don't even include some of the majors.

Ironically, the Tesco comparison site has proved very good - pointing me to good deals NOT with Tesco! Worth a look if you're shopping. I've also found it worth calling your current insurer if you get an increased renewal letter - they will often review and reduce, in one case to much less than the previous year! Works for household too. Weird stuff insurance.

Another decent deal killed by the silent frozen finger of fate! What's wrong with it people? Please share.
