Not much I can say, was looking around to pre-order Far Cry 5 and was sent this email which basically gives you back half of what you pay back in player points for any pre orders made during march. Like the picture says
Example - if a game is £40 you get £20 back in player points upon release. Here's some small print

The catch is that they have minimum spends in place for using Player Points

Only catch really is minimum spend on the voucher you will get, eg £20 for £2.50, £30 for £5 and so on.

Too slow!

So if you pre-order a £40 game, and get £20 in points, you will have to spend another £100 at some point to use your points.

If you're already in the market for buying pre orders get a few points then put those points to a new game

At least.

2,500 points | £2.50 voucher | Min spend £20

You'd have to make eight purchases to redeem your £20 in vouchers, so that'd be £160.

5,000 points | £5 voucher | Min spend £30
10,000 points | £10 voucher | Min spend £60

4 * £30 or 2 * £60 is £120.

20,000 points | £20 voucher | Min spend £100

£100 spend.

I'm possibly being an idiot here. If the voucher comes off the minimum spend, it'd be 8 * (£20 - £2.50) = £140.

The middle two methods work out at £100:

4 * (£30 - £5) = £100
2 * (£60 - £10) = £100

And finally, £20 off £100 would be £80.

So on the face of it you're getting a pre-order for half price, but you'd have to make sure you were spending that 50% saving wisely, preferably in one £100+ purchase (less £20 voucher).
