So to make the most of this...

5000 points converted to eBay voucher worth £25 and I get 2500 points back worth £12.50?

Thanks

The link is for Karen's offer only (op) so anyone else clicking beware they won't receive the 50% points back unless you receive your own email

That's my worry. Won't be converting the points until I get an email/appears in my nectar/ebay a.c.

If you click the link, it says ""eBay has sent this communication to karen (waterloo)."

It's not the same as the selling one, the link does appear to be account specific. It lets me "accept" the offer without even being signed in!

I never get emails from Nectar

The selling offers say exactly the same it's just i never removed her name on the link, all the selling offers give a name on the email.

A year or more ago they did an unlimited conversion offer giving 50% back. I converted £600 worth of points. That was a real bargain. Sadly, they seem to have learned their lesson and now limit the 50% return to relatively small amounts of points.

The selling offer wasn't a link from an email (I posted the last one!) and makes you sign in before it determines if you are eligible. This one has your details in the link, you don't even need to be signed in to activate it (because it knows it's from your account already). Will happily vote hot if someone can find a generic link!

Thanks

i got the offer under my name after clicking the link. thanks OP

I clicked Get Deal and I got the page to say I'd activated the offer, even though I was in Incognito mode so wasn't logged in to anything.

Good luck to anyone who's gone for this, but I'll wait until I get an email before spending my points.

Do you have to use it or activate it by the 23rd? Ta very much

I'm only posting to help others here that may otherwise think they'll be getting this deal when in fact they won't.

Why not vote hot anyway? Plenty of people will have on your seller fees deal despite not being eligible.

I do agree with you that these deals are different to the selling ones.

Thanks for sharing, just spent all off my points!

I got caught out with this link the last time on here, clicked and it said I had activated it, but I never got the points back and Nectar confirmed the offer was never given to me. Beware!

Because it's not about not being eligible, people will click on the link, think that the offer has worked (as I nearly did myself) then be disappointed when the bonus points never materialise. If the deal said "check you emails" to see if you're eligible then fair enough that would be a hot deal for those that can get it but this deal gives the impression that people are eligible when they are not.

Interestingly when I click the link it has my name, and after doing it displayed "xxxx you have activated this offer" (with xxxx showing my actual name).

Interesting, the link has been changed. But mine doesn't show my name anywhere and still works without signing in.

It took me to eBay which auto-signs in. Had my points balance on the same page as the deal. Tbh I still have 28000 from a 40000 CC offer and never use them so if I don't get £12.50 I won't cry. Would be nice though. Been waiting for such a deal for ages! Last time abused it for £100 or so haha

Guess use it. As u have new promo starting on 24th

Jesus Christ I only posted a deal to help people out nothing sinister oO

I never suggested anything sinister, it's not a personal attack, just warning people that they may well not get the deal that they think they will. If it is generally available then it's a great deal. Anyway I contacted Nectar to ask for confirmation, will report back when they reply.

I tried finding if i really have activated this offer. But can't see anywhere in nectar or ebay.

Must admit the link leads me to an account (already activated ?- strange ! ) . Doesn't sit right at the moment , I too will wait for an email or EBay message before exchanging for vouchers and NOT getting 50% back . Hope folks haven't rushed to convert their points to vouchers as I fear if you haven't got an email or the offer isn't sitting on your Nectar page the offer is not applicable to you . I think its the OPs offer on the link that has been activated and has managed to mislead many members .

I rang nectar who were no help, then rang eBay who were a bit more helpful, as I'm unhappy that when i had £10-20 of points I used to get these offers all the time, now I have £165 of points and have been sat on them I haven't been invited to this offer the past 4-5 times -_-

So eBay had a look at the terms , and for this particular offer, you're only eligible if you did the eBay easter nectar suprise offer apparently, which I didn't bother to do. Sigh.

Just got a reply from Nectar on Facebook:

Hi Jez, just had word back from eBay that this is an invitation only … Hi Jez, just had word back from eBay that this is an invitation only offer and was emailed to the people who were chosen. If you haven't been emailed for this then you will not be given half of the points back. Thank you ^AH

Interestingly I did activate the "Easter surprise" promo but didn't receive an email (although I think I'm opted out of promo emails!).

It's really irritating as eBay is the only thing I'll use my Nectar points on. I know as soon as I decide to use them up they'll send me a offer though, which would drive me mad!
