What with all the fuss about these books I thought it was time to post my first deal.

Was in Asda yesterday and noticed they had these books at £3.85 each or 3 for £10, free delivery online too.

Hope this helps the avid followers of this trilogy!

Hence why I said instore also..........

All the fuss which was cleverly stirred up by marketeers to manipulate the herd mentality of the human race.

Good price, I thought £12 for mine from Amazon was a good price .

Show me where it is cheaper????

slightly cheaper at Sainsburys - not worth voting either way as both good prices if you want the book - but 2 for £6 - or £9.99 for the 3 with free delivery plus nectar points.

Not my kind of book - but both decent prices if you are after it - only posted because you asked where cheaper - not sure why both your posts are cold - maybe no one is after the books.

Sorry I cannot physically bring myself to voting hot after being subjected to a 2 1/2 train journey on Friday during which I had to listen a bunch of drunken, middle aged Barnsley women reading "selected scenes" from each other without respite.

Did lead me to wonder what the reaction would be from that area of the train if I had popped on a bit of Star Whores on the old smartphone.

Hopefully the deal and book itself brings more joy to others though

You have my upmost sympathy.....one does get the impression that these books are targetted specifically at that demographic.

The books hit #1 on the NYT best seller list with no publicity whatsoever apart from word of mouth. You don't have to like 'em but you can't claim that their popularity is down to marketing - a lot of women tell their friends to read them, it's a simple as that. Whatever Fifty Shades says about modern women or the state of modern literature, you can't put it all down to hype.

Whilst I'm sure that post was made in jest, it was like listening to a 6 year old reading circle.....except more porn filled. I mean who cant pronounce "leisurely"....

The evenings events really came to a head upon hearing the sentence

"Mum dun't read that page, yewl get t'book all wet"

I havent slept in 3 days

Usual story with this kind of thing... "if it's popular it must be crap" or "I'm not going to read it as I'm not a sheep" etc, etc, etc.

People will spout off about things without ever actually reading or viewing the product.

And before anyone jumps up and starts moaning, I'm not aiming this at anyone in particular. It's aimed at the herd.

Badly written porn for women who don't know any better. Read 40 + instead.

Not at all. I was quick to jump on the Millenium Trilogy bandwagon and I am not at all ashamed to admit that I loved those books.

The account above of the drunken middle aged women recounting selected scenes (evidently without any consideration for fellow passengers) tells you all you need to know about the literary style and content of these books though!.

From what i have heard from the women at work it's basically like hardcore porn without the visual or audio... lol.. two things which are an absolute must in any porn i'd enjoy.

Although i did download copies of the book on my iPad at work just to show how easy it is, then deleted them lol

This is such an easy read less than 10 characters and I must say its the first time I have ever read the T&C's of a contract lol

This is always going to get voted cold I posted the trilogy kindle download for £8.99 from amazon the other day and it bombed, jealous men whom probably read magazines like nuts and then say us women are into smut, it's actually a good read regardless of sex.

Nothing like a bit of generalisation about a specific demographic.

but most of the reviews say the book is just crap so why would women tell their friends? The marketing people did a brilliant job of fooling far too many people.

I apologise about some of my comment, but this site drives me mad sometimes, I thought it was about posting a deal that you found for a good price, I don't vote cold on all the Xbox/ ps3 game post's just because I don't like them, I just ignore them, surely you should only vote if it concerns you directly

No worries - I totally understand; your fist comments about the deal going cold, were (IMO), pretty much spot on... there are somethings which, for whatever reason (Call it anti-hipster if you want), will always go cold, regardless of how good the deal is.

It was the second bit I had a problem with.

I also, in a roundabout way, agree with your latter comment about not voting... it's no so much if it doesn't concern you, more if you have enough understanding of the product to make an educated guess as to weather it's a good deal or not. There's loads I don't like and probably wouldn't buy, posted on here, but I know if it's a decent price or not.

For the record (aimed at no one in particular... just more of my rambling), regardless of the content of the book, it's the price. Just because you don't like the subject matter doesn't make it a bad deal... people come here for cheap prices and if that's what the deal offers... then it's hot.

the sainsburys one is just one book, as of yesterday amazon recommended me the trilogy, so there is three books here, i dont even read book much, and certainly not this one!
