I downloaded "10 great Russian short stories" posted here recently and some were readable but despite my best efforts and determination some were so depressing I had to give up!

I'm really getting into my Kindle. I've already got too much to read, but I could do with some more, and these look perfect. I've not read any of the Russian classics. I really feel I aught to.
Kindle has some great dictionaries too, I believe.
Have read some of this books in russian, now time try to read it in translation.
