Isn't 500 points just £2.50?

Just £2.50, but that's £2.50 more than you would be getting otherwise.
Bah common eBay give us 15-20% off site wide.

But sorry don't ever remember anybody providing an answer
Waiting for ebay discount code

When it says eligible item, assuming it just means £5 or more on any and not anything else? Can't open the full T&C's on the site.
With my luck, I will get only 50

Whats an eligible item? And also does the onr item have to be over £5 or the total order?

Also is this a one time thing where after spending £5 you get bonus points but then dont get it again

Its confusing

Yeah I wish it was clearer what is or isn't eligible.
Looks like you have to click through to ebay from the nectar site - so best to disable pop-up and ad blockers first, then click through when you are going to actually buy something. I have activated stuff first in the past, come back a day or so later to buy by going directly to ebay and not got the points. So go to nectar and click through to ebay when you are ready.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, but a one-time CHANCE to win 2.50 is fairly rubbish.

Better to link your nectar card to your ebay account instead, you don't have to bother going via the nectar site then. It also mean you can simultaneously collect both nectar points and cashback from Quidco/TCB on the same ebay purchase.

Thats if you get 500 points, remember its up to .... Its crafty marketing for Ebay/Sainsburys.
Just spent £225 plus pounds, got 0 bonus ... So, think I'll be buying the other items from Amazon :/

Probably bug*er all, but less broken promises.

eBay frequently say they shall award me bonus Nectar points, and never actually give any. I get the basics, so my accounts are connected.
Just spent £4.99 a few mins ago, damnit!

Just signed up to Nectar and linked eBay, how long do points usually take to appear? should have 300
never get anything special from nectar points seems like people who don't shop with them often get the best deals!
Absolute waste of time messing around with this Nectar / eBay malarkey, Im still waiting for the last ebay points to appear on my Nectar Account over the last year, about 8 deals in total worth over 3000 points so far.

Pointless, is the real name of these Deals
I keep meaning to check if I ever get any of these bonuses. Why can't they just give them straight away rather than 28 days later. Same as BP not as if I'm going to take my petrol back out of my car and ask for a refund

Because this is another scam from eBay to make money from us
They would blame it on a technical error if we contacted them about it
However, most of the time, people can't be bothered to check and contact them about it.
I have learnt not to trust these types of deals.
Only buy when you need.

It is, but come November Sainsburys do their Double up, so it will be worth £5 then. I save all year, getting bonus points where I can.

I heard some said last time was probably the last double up
What are you supposed to spend Nectar points on? I've been gathering some for years. Every few months I log in to see if there's anything to spend them on, but nope. I don't mean that there's nothing good - usually there are literally no deals to spend it on!

I normally spend mine on Sainsburys Petrol, or eBay, ie a straight 1000 points converted to £5 Credit. Sometimes you get more from deals, but not often, If you like your Pizzas, Pizza Express seem to do £7.50 Credit for 1000 points here and there.

I generally wait for double up or 50% of points back offers.

A few months ago I was lucky with a succession of well times offers for 50% of points back when spending on ebay and LNER. I now have most of the points I spent back in my account and am waiting for the next decent offer.

You only have to click through once, esp if your accounts are linked.
when I view my 'nectar on ebay' page on ebay, theres no mention of this promo. Usually it would show up in the 'nectar activities on ebay' box at the bottom of the page. Anybody else getting this?
I clicked through to eBay from Nectar and it seemed to be certain things not everything, I bought some caravan cleaner on the list which we need anyway and it just said 11 points, when do we know what the bonus points are as it didn't mention them on the purchase. I will now have to make another purchase for the TCB deal as I had to click through Nectar for the points deal.

28 days later is a bit of a farce, why not within 24 hours. The surprise seems to be on the rare occasion that nectar actually supply bonus points will I actually remember why I earned them in the first place after about a month. Nectar seems to be the worst run of any bonus scheme in my opinion, I'm just never confident I'm going to get what is offered and it takes an absolute age for the bonus points to get added. For those who activated it like myself and have actually made an ebay purchase perhaps we ought to come back to this thread in a month to see how many of us got any bonus points at all and how many were actually over 50 points. I'll guess now that I get no bonus points.

Yup. I think they do it on purpose and hope people forget.

They also don't make it easy to contact CS
