If you look further down at the full description details it says:

"Extended Length (mm): 1020"
Which is only 40" not 50" - so which size is correct ?

It is a very basic lightweight model but if you understand that and work within its limitations i.e not at its full height then there can be little to complain about and if you can afford a £ 1000 camera then you can afford a more heavy weight and higher spec stand.

I wouldn't trust my £100,000 digital camera on that

It also quotes two weights [maybe ones a dry weight oO]
• Weight (g): 420
• Net Weight: 375g

how can they make any money on that

Thanks op, heat added, don't really need but good price for something that could come in useful some day lol

Bought a model exactly like this from Amazon a few weeks ago for a few quid more. Perfect for taking on holiday to catch a few snaps or do some video panning of scenic landscapes. Also good for long exposure when photographing the stars.

It's very light, but sturdy enough. Wouldn't trust it in strong winds, that's my only gripe.

You get what you pay for.

I wouldn't trust your £100 digital camera on that let alone mine.

Maybe it's just me but whenever I see that sort of picture on ebay I'm put off.

Not if you only have £1,005

In that case Id suggest a cheap camera and a dear holiday
