I've been searching for a couple of days this is the cheapest I've found and I just bought two of them!

These are excellent drives.

Well I did try to buy but I am getting charged for delivery, and have no intention to travel to Bolton to save on delivery charges.

I think jnm21 was referring to the fact that if you spend 5 minutes signing up to AVForums, you get free delivery from Scan (and seems to be pretty fast via CityLink rather than the usual 'SuperSaver' where you end up waiting a week). See ]here on how you can take advantage of this offer.

This drive has Automatic Acoustic Management (AAM) enabled by default which makes it operate at a quieter sound level but slows down the performance of the drive.

I used Hitachi's Feature Tool to disable the AAM and the drive is atleast 20% faster with it disabled and its not much louder either.

Sorry - I thought this was hotukdeals, not dealsforsale - get over yourself - there are many offers not even available to me on here (as I live in NI), but I can still appreciate the deals - I don't cold vote or post negative comments on the homebargains threads, just because I don't live in the midlands.

For example your ebuyer deal would be about £10 to £20 dearer inc. delivery to here.

There is that current offer, a Hexus one, something about answer 10 other user questions on Scan & I believe there was a (now closed) HUKD free delivery offer.

Just for your information jnm21, I did not cold voted this, and as far I am concerned my comments are not negative at all.

Does anyone know if they are PS3 compatable?

No, this is 3.5" drive, you will need 2.5" sata drive for PS3, like this but unfortunatelly it's expired - hotukdeals.com/ite…rd/
