is it ps3 compatable ?

Doubt it, it's probably a 3.5".

This is about the normal price, I paid £39 for mine last October. And yes, it is a 3.5" one.

It's a good drive and very quiet once you enable AAC.

Not that great a deal... 500GB drives have always been this price. cold m'fraid.

Hot from me cos it's a WD - which in my opinion are the best make of hard drives!

Thanks

No they haven't i buy loads of drives as a network admin and can tell you straight they are not this cheap even the pants Hitachi are not this cheap this is a very good drive at a good price its also the green version which is cooler running.

That's one thing i love about this site people that come on here and say daft things which are clearly not true you can spend £30 on a 80gb drive the thing with me is id rather not say anything than make myself look an ****.

£41.88 at novatech plus P+P
£38.32 at ebuyer and you have to add postage to that so around £43 deliverd

500GB have been at around £40 for at least half a year. £2-3 off isn't that great a deal.

AAM is automatic accoustic management, a feature that most drives (except seagates) have that trades off a little performance for a noise reduction. You can enable it using something like ]HDDScan.

WD is not good as Seagate

good price, this was a little over £40 the other day when I was looking at one but decided to go for the black instead. Heat added

is getting 32MB cache over 16MB worth the extra cost?

Received mine yesterday, packed well with loads of bubble wrap. Hav'nt had time to install it but sure its fine.
First time I have ordered from Scan, will buy again... The free delivery from AV forums worked no problem.
