Lloyds Banking Group/TSB customers should avoid EE and its MVNOs - as soon as the bank calls you it won't get through, and neither will any calls & texts until a new sim is sent each time.

Just a warning
I had this.
The signal used to play up. Was really annoying so changed to 3, very happy.
I think it's to do with the MVNO issue. Never had this with Talkmobile who uses Vodafone.
If i was ordering now, I would go with ID mobile as mentioned above

Do you know if it is the whole EE network that effected by the Lloyds/TSB issue or just the MVNOs? I'm currently with Plusnet and need to switch providers due to this issue, but EE is the only decent signal I get where I live

Orange & T-Mob customers are affected too so it's a safe bed EE is as EE runs mainly on the old T-Mobile/3 partnership backhaul network, with a few Orange sites merged into it.

They are clueless I emailed the BT Chief and he sent it to EE executive office who can't help as I'm a (was) Plusnet customer ? Who couldn't even do a tech report for 5 days. They are clueless, a$$ and elbow come to mind! Welcome to BeeT

Is that right? I wondered why my phone and texts stopped working after trying to set up a standing order via TSB calling me!!! Many thanks for the heads up, I'll avoid them.

You can set multiple numbers (At least 1 mobile and 1 home number) to verify standing orders / new payees. I certainly wouldn't let this influence my phone provider decision (Best price/4G availability) should be far bigger factors.
In the rare instance you can't get to your other phone (or don't have a landline), just phone up your bank and they'll do it over the phone in a couple of minutes.
And they will *eventually* get round to fixing it.

Security calls from the bank also come through the same way.

No they won't in 5 days Plusnet didn't launch a network tech issue. The PAC port didn't work as the chain is broken by Plusnet & the BT Chief sent the error and complaint to EE who can't do anything?

Now if your bank account is being emptied and the bank can't call you is it better to have a cheaper sim or a more secure bank that can contact you. ?.

Thanks for the heads up. I've had this issue for the past months and with no date set for any sort of resolution, I'm switching providers.

A PAC out didn't sort my issue, the error remains on TPO so the backhaul fowarding server from EE to Three forwards the error!!! I had to take a new number with ID Mobile after a week of no incoming, and use a secondary mobile until then for incoming texts and forwarding my Plusnet calls to it.

EE won't deal with it as a Plusnet 100% BT/EE subsidiary - even after BT Chief Executive office sent it to EE executive office to do such.

The BT work ethics practices have well and truely infiltrated EE now.

Hi

Oh no I would never let that get in the way of a good deal. I'm with plusnet and with TSB for my 2nd account. I've already deleted my mobile number from TSB and it works fine on my landline. However their telephone banking is dreadful they can't set up standing orders etc??? I tried!

It must be an issued and I tried setting up the standing order on Tuesday, and noticed on Wednesday that I couldn't get calls/texts. Strange.

I don't doubt their telephone banking is bad, if they told you they cannot do standing orders via telephone , as their own website disagrees:

"What you can do with Telephone Banking:

Check your up to date balance and recent transactions
Transfer money between your own and other UK bank accounts
Pay your bills
Cancel or hear details of your Direct Debits and set up standing orders
Order a debit card or a replacement PIN"

Sounds like a rubbish call center indeed

I know I was amazed they couldn't set up a standing order, they said it was a security issue??

I spoke to telephone banking who tried to rectify my app problem with not receiving calls, couldn't do I rung off not having set one up!

When I call first direct you can do everything in about a minute with no actual security (they do voice recognition) and are 100 times more helpful and useful.

When I called plusnet to raise the issue their response was sending a new SIM card in 2 business days (not including the weekend and bank holiday Monday) so about 5 days. Great.
