Others may not agree but I’d love to know the price of the TVs (both pre and post cash back). £500 off makes me thinks it’s crazy expensive

On an OLED you need a 5 year warranty. I'm not sure if this comes with it but my OLED was new but broke and LG wouldn't do anything about it because I'd lost the receipt and I had a big expensive bricked TV. LG will not stand by their products.

A receipt of not the only proof of purchase. Call your bank.

I posted this because some people were asking about the cashback on another deal: hotukdeals.com/dea…105 Using the code on the deal plus the cashback the 55" TV is £1499

Correct...
a bank statement, or if you paid by credit card, then find the statement that the television is on.
That is (should be) proof enough

As others have said a bank statement would be fine, plus you need to go to the retailer not LG.

Is the e7 3d?

Yeah. You could treat yourself to a BMW 535i. It will come complete with 250,000 Miles, bodily fluid stains in every seat and a free image make over.

Sadly, no. LG decided to drop it in the 2017 range. There’s a petition to bring this back in 2018, currently @ just under 15k signatures.

I have had a similar experience with their products. Best to avoid them!

They can clearly tell the age of the unit from the model & serial number and that its within warranty. They clearly think a lot of their TVs are stolen... muppets.

You could do that. Problem is it doesn’t make you look hung like a horse or have the verility of a God.

Personally I was thinking Joseph Fritzel on tour...

I contacted John Lewis to see about price matching and also asked about getting the LG cash back, the agent there confirmed that it was entirely separate and any price match by dealer would not affect it.
I have also used richer sounds in the past so contacted their Glasgow Store and spoke to the manager, he confirmed they would price match with a company Reliant Direct who were doing it for £2499 with £900 off when you used promotion code Black500AND400, i.e. £1599. (another company Crampton and Moore also have black Friday £900 off)
He also stated that the redemption offer from LG would be available.
Richer sounds also give a 6 year warranty and great customer service.
So i have purchased it from richer sounds and can expect delivery later in the week.

Same, from Mark in Bristol store over the phone (First class service). He couldn't guarantee the extra £500 though, we shall see.

To me, richer sounds match price from their profit margin. Any manufacturer redemption offer is surely from theirs. Richer sounds did not have to check with lg before matching

apparently a 2-tier offer depending on retailer.

Tier 1

john lewis
richer sounds
currys

these guys have an agreement with lg that THE CUSTOMER will apply for the cashback

Tier 2

all other retailers

these guys can discount the tv in advance and claim the cashback from lg themselves.

Closest price match I can find for Richer Sounds now is £1999 Anyone else able to do better on the 55?

Participants who purchase a new LG OLED55E7N or OLED65E7V Television (Promotional Product) in-store or online from an eligible retailer (as set out in the table below) (each a “Participating Retailer”) in the UK or ROI within the Promotion Period which is not sold as part of: (i) a bundle; (ii) another promotion (save for promotions offered directly by the Participating Retailers), will be entitled claim a cashback reward (paid by way of bank transfer) for the relevant cashback amount.

Does the above mean we cant claim the cashback if the tV is on offer @JL/Curry /Richer Sounds, as thats how I read it...

I don't think it really explicitly means money off the RRP or it would say. I think as long as you provide proof of purchase that doesn't mention any sort of price match or other promotion you'll be fine.

I got John Lewis to price match reliant direct at £1599 and I'll just give LG the invoice once the 30 days are up.

Reliant Direct say they are a LG official Retailer so they should be included in this but seen someone mention that they might be claiming it back themselves. Not sure how that works

They are claiming the cashback themselves yes, there are a few doing it. I did have a E7 on order with bestavdeals for £1499 but cancelled it once JL price matched reliant direct at £1599. When I queried the price with bestavdeals they confirmed it was a cashback deal and they were dealing with it at the point of sale.

Personally I'd rather spend an extra £100 with JL (who just refunded me what I paid on my 4+ year old Plasma because they couldn't source the parts to repair a minor but annoying fault) with the chance of getting another £500 off than have to deal with a 3rd party insurance company warranty. Even if I don't get the cashback it is still a great price.

They are also not in the list shown in the T&C's.

Definitely still an awesome price and if it goes through youll have only paid £1099 ! I missed the boat and was too slow to get JL to price match

I'm not questioning you or accusing you of lying, but have you definately got the correct model numbers as that is a stupid price that I can't get near! It's definitely an E7N or an E7V? Or in your case with matchign to John Lewis just an 65" E7V?

Again, what model have you matched as the Tyson website only shows the 55B7V at that price and that isn't in the offer! OLED55E7N / OLED65E7V only I'm getting a bit worried thatyou guys are all hoping for cashback that won't be hnoured due to the wrong model number.

Definitely the 55E7N
My order with Tyson was done on Friday when they were still offering the product - I guess they had to pull it as it was indeed a too-good offer..

Not sure it matters... if JL are advertising the cashback deal on their website then it’ll be ok I’m sure.
