Cracking find OP, just hope it's not a mythical unicorn in our own massive tesco, they claim "it's on the delivery for tomorrow (& repeat that mantra every time you drop by, god forbid you challenge their reality vs computer, for you may be borne out of the store chilled to the marrow in icy "customer service" aisle controller stares....

(The "lady" at Ramsey is a real witch in case you are reading this tesco's ..not merely limited to the 31st October either) oO

Heat btw, (despite my curmudgeonly attitude based on experience).

Never went away in my local

Thank the Lord.
It's months since it was available in my local Tesco and I'm narked at having to go to Sainsburys for it.

I hate it!

I love Marmite and I love Guinness. I'm told this is made from Guinness sludge. perfect.:D

great price, marmite + cheese on toast can't be beaten

It wouldn't be such an issue IF I didn't have to share it with 3 boxer dogs, ..greedy little so & so's "demand" a slice each per day then whining at me til I surrender my last cold pieces in my hands, I'm currently down to around 1000g of marmite (with my emergency travel jar squirreled away) ...but this low amount gives me marmite night sweats, think whisky galore ..but with marmite (correction, without marmite) oO

used it on a mouse trap - worked a treat

Great find OP, thanks!

Costco do 600g for 3.59 which is .0016667p cheaper per gram :O)

It's been back for a few weeks at our local Tesco, doubt they were selling much marmite after phasing out the large jars as they were charging only about 40p less for 250g.

oh wow hooray all our problems are solved now we have 50p off marmite...

Love marmite, but it hates me! Look out for the "gold" marmite which should be on sale nearer Xmas - little glittery bits in it (god knows what they are though!)

The gold bits are an edible colour, likely, titanium dioxide, commonly used in cake decoration etc, I did suggest this whilst on the phone to marmite a few years ago, (thanks for nothing unilever).

TBH we found over numerous identical gold marmite jars the consistency appeared to have changed perhaps in order to accomodate the floating particles, it didn't spread anywhere near so well & sadly became dog marmite (less spreading consistency required for greedy hounds).
Having been disappointed with the champagne rhubarb, gold, squeezy, & XB editions we simply stick to regular "marmite inna jar"
you know what you are getting with that!

Yummy in my tummy!

It'll take a couple of years to finish this jar off.
