The mince from Lidl is not that fatty. I would say it's pretty close to butcher's mince.

wonder why its so cheap hmm

Good mince and as above not that fatty...Great Cooked Slow....Dumplings....Ooooooooooooo

Its so cheap to get you in store and buy other things. It called a loss leader.

It's not bad mince, better than many supermarkets own mince, they have this on offer every couple if months usually was £2.40ish on offer at £1.19, but as its recently been £2 a pack ( like many supermarkets), the half price offer weekend makes it just £1.00.

It is certainly far superior to Tesco's dreadful fatty stuff

If you think its too fatty I saw a tip that might help.

Dry fry it in one pan.... then tip into another and continue cooking... wipe the original pan clean of all fat with kitchen roll, tip back nto that pan - keep repeating until there is no fat to wipe out, usually takes 2 goes in each pan for me. Its a bit fiddly but if you are on a budget and concerned then it does work

People are honestly that concerned with the fat?

It's where the flavour is. Keep it in your dish, eat and enjoy life.

ahh man just got a couple! Its not bad mince at all, compares well to supermarket standard and better than the value ranges!

If you're going to make burgers or meatballs etc then you need a good bit of fat.

Yeahh and watch your waist grow and your veins clog...

round about 15% fat is ideal for browning with no added oil . Any higher then i tip the excess over the dogs dry food...he's delighted !

Great price for good mince

there's nothing wrong with a small amount of fat in cooking - you need fat as part of a balanced diet. you need to do a bit more reading other than hotukdeals.com...

Sounds like snobbery doesn't it ? I had the best rump steak ever from my local Lidls last week and got the same for tonight , their fresh produce is great

It's not at all Lidls as we have different offers on here at the moment in Wales .

Quite different parts of the country have different MEAT deals so here's hoping!

this is the best mince around - hardly any fat at all - will be stocking up the freezer if there's any left when I get to store !!! last time I went @ 10.30am and only about 10 packs were left

I don't understand the snobbery,I don't do a full shop there but always try and pick up some of their weekend deals.

The meat is always good, especially the steak.

In my local store, they don't always bring meat offers out for opening, they sometimes bring them out later in the day!

It's a weekend half price offer, limited to 6 per customer, great buy.

Great buy, it is the weekend offer, limited to 6 per customer.
