Wrong...

£72.39 + £3.99 = £76.38 @ Aria...

Only £74.84 here.

I think you need to learn some math neonkoala.

Neon, I don't follow. How is £76.98 inc. VAT + delivery at aria cheaper than 74.84 inc vat + delivery at BT shop (74.84 total) ? unless I'm missing something. 3% Quidco on bt shop also, taking another £2 or so off

Banned

I'd trust Aria more though. Plus you can collect from them.

Nothing wrong with my eyes mate, by stating the op's deal is expensive and your is better, tell me your meaning was anything else. if not cheaper then how better? if not cheaper then why state "expensive"?

Because you can collect at store with the Aria, no forced postage, making it cheaper and more convenient. Thus the deal refers to the better options available.

ok, I see. cheaper if you live in manchester.

I've never even heard of Aria nevermind see one so not sure how picking it up in the shop is more practical!?

Plus despite Gary_rip clearly using a play on your name to call you a plonka you proceed to chastise him for raping our language for the incorrect spelling of a made up word.

Plonker may be part of the English lexicon due to its use in a cult television show but it's yet to have graduated to the English Oxford dictionary therefore you can spell it however you want it's still not a real word!

Dabs have this for the same price but with only £3.42 postage. Better deal if you don't get quidco. Their sites look identical - are they the same company?

Dabs is owned by BT although sometimes you get better offers going through BT because they sometimes issue voucher codes for shareholder discounts.

I think you'll find the word you're looking for is 'plonker'

neonkoala;5219826

Rodney - by saying "expensive" you are implying that your alternative 'deal' is cheaper

I don't see how it's cheaper to pick something up instore anyway unless you happen to be going near there or live within walking distance. Otherwise you have to factor in the bus fare or petrol/diesel for your car and then maybe parking too... so unless you're going to make a day of it shopping and picking up groceries or other items it works out cheaper to get it delivered.

Voted hot!

Plonka.... (or Plonker, I don't really care!)

Went for it from Dabs - hopefully it'll fit into my Macbook Pro (new unibody). Can someone confirm for me.

I wouldn't want to feel like a plonker.

enough abuse. will this fit in my white Intel C2D MacBook?

To be fair guys...

NeonKoala at no point said it was cheaper. He said it was a better deal to buy from Aria.

I think he's suggesting that it's a bit like paying a little bit more to buy a car from a dealer.

I don't agree with what he said... but he didn't say it was cheaper.

More importantly, will this fit in my MSI Wind/Advent 4211?

Are you 100% sure this will fit in my PS3?

I thought that largest that could fit into a PS3 was 320gig...

Voted Hot because koala has made this the most amusing post ever . Even if he was a one penny cheaper you have the convenience of it being delivered . Please correct me if i am incorrect kermit.

Cold. The Western Digital one on Play.com is a better deal albeit it's not actually sold by Play. It's sold on Play Trade by an authorised seller with 100% rating for £69.99.

Depends, No and probably No. I have a Wind and I think it will be too thick for that as well.

The Hitachi is a 12.5mm thick drive, so it is too thick for any Mac notebook apart from the 17" MBP. The 13" and 15" will not accomodate the Hitachi, so cancel while you can.

The only 500GBs with the requisite 9.5mm depth to fit the smaller Mac notebooks are the Samsung and Western Digital models.

Thanks for that, but it says in the description that it is a 9.5mm (I have the 15 inch so a little concerned with your comments)

Now I am confused.

Ok, done a bit of research. It seems as though these will fit as they are the new series B (hence the B in brackets.)

The previous model without the B did not fit as it was 12.5mm as pointed out by spraint. These are good to go as they are now 9.5mm. Hope I am right.

I know he didn't use the word "cheaper" but he did use the word "expensive", which implied that the deal he was proposing was not so expensive. As he did not state that his deal was assuming no delivery charge because he would pick it up, that's why I asked him why it was a better / cheaper deal. I was not not trying to bash him, just trying to understand why his deal was better. Turned out not to better for me though, as I'm nowhere near Aria to pick it up.
