It doesn't take much effort to get the free delivery and then you have it for next time.

Expect it to be 2-3 times the speed of USB2

(USB2 is limited to around 30meg/sec... drives can do 60-90meg/sec these days)

So USB3 is only really catching up with eSata...

Esata is for drives only, and doesn't provide power

Usb3 is for all devices, provides power ( eg for pendrives / portable hdd ) and is backwards compatible with usb2
Actually slightly faster than esata too.

Received mine today. Can confirm write speeds around 60MB/s for 50GB files/folder.as mikerr correctly stated
