What's the best deal out there for around 2gb? The ID deals seem pretty solid
Just moved from PlusNet Mobile due to terrible signal, nowhere near as good a signal as I had with O2, so hello again O2 wish I hadn't left.
Plusnet doing 1000mins texts plus 1.5gb data plus rollover for £5

There is something not right about this PlusNet = same as EE signal business.........same phone, same location and the PlusNet is well down compared to the EE phone.....
The 1.5gb deal for £5 was gone for the moment

No doubt be back in 3-4 weeks

Where I am the signal on each of the networks is good enough so its not something to worry about, but I have friends in other areas where network signal is an issue and they would never switch network without finding a friend on the network they are switching to and asking them to at least test the call signal strength and quality (data signal on the MVNOs will of course vary so more difficult to check that before switching).

Honestly, I think ID Mobile has the best deals right now. All their sims have data rollover, you aren't locked down for 12 months and the prices are more than good tbh. Don't think anyone's beating them right now. Only thing I'd watch for is location because they use 3 for their 4G and 3's coverage is pretty low compared to everyone else but if you live in an area where that doesn't matter then you should be good.

Couple of points to be aware of in the T+C

ALL PLUSNET MOBILE SIM ONLY 30 DAY PLANS

Service Numbers
  • The charge for calls to service numbers beginning with 084, 087, 09 and 118 consists of a 19p per minute access charge from Plusnet, plus a service charge set by the organisation you called.

Premium texts
  • Plusnet Mobile does not support premium or short code text services.

Billing
  • Payment by Direct Debit only. Paper-free billing applies (paper bills are available for £10 per bill).

Do u have to be a plus net customer to get these sim deals

Indeed....I was just adding my concern that Plusnet doesn't seem to give the same signal strength as EE, despite their boast about using the EE network. I'm convinced that Plusnet SIMs get an inferior service.......

I was thinking of 'jumping ship' recently and spoke to EE about the attractive lower PlusNet prices. I was assured that a move to Plusnet would result in a lesser service. I was sceptical but stayed with EE. A close friend (with same model mobile as me) wasn't so convinced and went ahead. Whenever and wherever we meet we have a little 'signal check' and on the occasions where there is less than 5 bars available the EE phone is always ahead, sometimes by 3 bars. Important when I have 2 or 3 bars and she has 'no signal'......

Was gonna sign up with ID, but if they use 3 network, its pretty poor in my area, thanks for the heads up.

Plusnet told me the same when my daughter was having issues, they cannot guarantee the signal will be the same as any of the companies who use EE. However, also found it was down to the phone. Been with plusnet for a month on my own, did a speedtest in a major area today and got over 40Mb happy with that.

£7.50 cashback Quidco. Changed the wife's from Virgin. Am going for it myself from Three Data Saver as it's not worth me messing with PAYG at this price.

I'm going to give it a go as well. Three PAYG has been OK but since they reduced the 100MB free data when you top up £5 I've been needing to top up every 3 weeks. Makes sense to move to Plusnet.

What about the Three Data Saver with 200MB included? I use about 100MB a month on top so it costs me about £1. Minimum topup £2. I carry an EE SIM anyway just in case I can't get a Three signal so all round, for £4, it seems worth paying the few quid extra.

I need voice and text as well though. A £5 top up on Three used to last about 4-5 weeks but not any more.

The Data Reward (sorry, not Saver) is a 321 SIM but with 200MB data included. Voice and text are fine at the same prices as 321.

It could work for you.
