This is a top notch, silver certified Power Supply. It's modular too which is a nice touch. Ok only 500W but that is enough to power almost any single graphics card system. It's usually £67 at the same retailer.

To get this price go to the Today Only page under the "Power Supplies" section, its 1st one on the "modular" list.

Connectors:
1 x 4+4pin CPU +12V
5 x 4pin Molex
2 x 6+2pin PCI-E Power
1 x FDD Power
6 x SATA Power

This Power suply gets really good reviews and is apparently excellent for quiet operation.

Review here:

hardwareheaven.com/rev…tml

The second review give it their "Editor's Choice" award and say it is "An absolutely silent unit"

This is on today only but will run till about lunchtime on monday as its the weekend.

Hope this is useful for someone!

************Forgot to mention it has a whopping 5 year warranty! Bargain!***********

Personally I'd pay the few quid extra and get the 650W Antec TruePower New for £59.98 on the same page.

Yep that's a really good quality PSU as well but the real appeal of this unit is its "silent" operation. Good for HTPC etc.

Also to be fair, this PSU has a higher efficiency rating than the Antec, its silver certified whereas the Antec is only bronze (85% vs 82%)

So the only real reason you'd get the antec is because of the higher Wattage rating, but in all honesty 500W at 85% efficiency is more than enough for most systems

And of course it is cheaper

^+1

this is a top notch psu for the price surprised its not gone higher.

If delivery charges to N.Ire wern't so rediculous it would be orderd, hot

Fair point if that's what your looking for in a psu.

Super hot.

Heard these are great for the HTPC, shame I have not finalised my HTPC specs yet, otherwise would have bought this!

i have the 600w of this PSU and i have no complaints. Hooked up to a GTX 460, when in game i still can't hear it, very silent so it lives up to it's name. The build quality is really good and the cable lengh is also enough for big cases, plus the flat cables make it even better.

I agree with marktime. I'd much rather put in a few quid more, and go for the Antec. more room for upgrades as well.

The Antec also won awards for best value PSU.. beating Coolermaster and Corsair.

Excellent power supply, hot!

Silent, only Seasonic or BeQuiet or Silverstone are rally silent.

what spec you have tho? im asking becuase if you have other fans which are loud mite mask this..?

currently i have a modular OCZ 500w and it sound like a diesel tractor.. im looking for a silent solution

OK a few things.

I own a Coolermaster Silent Pro 600M and it is great. Very quiet. However I would say that as I own one, so bare that in mind when you read the following.

Silence mean the absence of sound, so any PSU that has a fan that is in use at all times is by definition not silent. It can be very quiet though.

PSUs are often OEM'd by different companies. The only company mentioned in the thread that make their own is Seasonic, but they also OEM for others.

Silverstone use FSP and Enhance as their are OEM, the CM Silent Pro is an Enhance made PSU. So it has every chance of being as quiet as Silverstone.

I bought my one on recommendation by the folks at silentpcreview.com forums, if anyone is likely to not stand for noise it's those chaps.

I think this is actually bronze certified rather than silver according to coolermasters site??

After weeks of research I decided to go for a 700w bronze certified Xigmatek from bestbuy. Should be £50 after top cashback. Personally I am not bothered about modular.

Although 500w is enough for most I would prefer the extra 200w for future proofing

Reviews seem good, particularly on efficiency which is slightly higher than the model here.
This will probably be the most I've spent on a PSU after sticking with non branded ones for 10 years.

Agreed, I managed to fit it bottom mounted in a Fractal Define R2 without extensions (just!) Currently it runs: i7 920, 2x HDDs and a noisy GTS 250 (to be replaced with a GTX 560).

Join either AV or Hexus forums and make 20 posts, there's a few other threads here recently that explain in detail how to do this in detail but I'm too lazy to go through it again, sorry.

good deal if u'll never need more than 500w, but the 650w Antec TPN is much better at £7 more

You could add the Antec to that list, cause it's made by Seasonic.

Not all of them from personal experience. I had bought an Antec Trio something a year ago and you could hear it.

Yeah not all of them, but the 650W Antec TruePower is one that's made by Seasonic.
