The Hotel

Perched between Leeds and Sheffield, the Cedar Court Hotel Wakefield offers a four-star accommodation to those wishing to explore the lively cities, rugged countryside, and rich industrial heritage of West Yorkshire. In Wakefield, travellers may explore the 500 acres of the Yorkshire Sculpture Park boasting contemporary art, or the Nostell Priory, an 18th-century stately home set within fine parkland and gardens.

Rooms are decked out in warm colour tones and are equipped with wooden furnishings, light fixtures, desks and hot drink-making facilities.

Appetites can be satisfied at the on-site restaurant using locally sourced produce in order to serve both local and international dishes, while the lounge bar offers rich coffees and cool tipples.

Relaxation sessions may be spent in the health club’s spa, while energy may be put to good use at the gym or by making a splash in the heated swimming pool.

Placed in West Yorkshire, Wakefield is a city alluring travellers with multiple attractions including an imposing cathedral, Grade II-listed buildings, a castle and museums.

Travellers may embrace their spiritual side at the Wakefield Cathedral boasting a high spire and stained glass, while for a shopping spree visitors may head to the Trinity Walk, a shopping centre in the city. Ancient relics may be observed at the Sandal Castle, an open-air gallery comes in the form of Yorkshire Sculpture Park, while parts of an ancient mine are displayed at the National Coal Mining Museum for England.

A cathedral is a religious building. Spirituality is different from organised religion.
