Good Morning guys,

Selected members have been emailed this bonus offer. Only those with the email will be awarded the bonus. Using the link above will allow you to activate the offer but just to clarify and to avoid any upset only those with the email will be awarded this email.

We sometimes do selected member bonuses and it could be that if you haven't been selected this time you may do so next time.

We're always working as hard as we can to get all our members the best cashback rates and we are busy planning some great things for all our members all the way into the new year.

Best wishes,
Matt

Well it lets me activate despite not having received the email. As far as I am concerned if you can activate you should be entitled to the promotion. If your system can't filter out non-eligible members from eligible that is hardly the customers fault and at the end of the day, it's only 50p, or at most £2.50, hardly going to break the bank is it?

Topcashback? More like tightcashback it seems....

10% only 😝

I agree it would be a good idea to say if you're eligible or not when you try to activate the code, I don't subscribe to the emails as I was getting too many so I come on here to see if there are any offers. I have just made a purchase and I've got nothing yet after activating the code but I'm not going to lose sleep over 50p especially as it was something I was going to buy anyhow.

This is something we'll look into doing in the future but for this incentive we cannot do this. It is explained both on the activate page and in the terms and therefore we will not be awarding this bonus if you didn't get the email.

It is very disappointing to hear you call us tightcashback. I've just totalled up all the incentive bonuses available to all members this year. This comes to a grand total of £60.

That's £60 this year not including the top ups we had to a lot of transactions, the payout top ups and other different ways to reward members. All this and our everyday giving you up to 105% of the commission we get for your purchase and different promotions like the Hummingbird game where we have given our thousands and thousands of pounds worth of prizes.

I am sorry you are disappointed for not being selected for this specific merchant but I am sure you can see from the above we are TopCashback, the UKs most generous cashback site and we will reward our members in as many ways as we can because we were set up to save you the most amount of money.

Best wishes,
Matt

Don't bank on getting this type of cashback offer. We were denied 3 X £2.50 Asda cashback because TCB claimed it was for new Asda customers but the offer did not say that, and I pointed out that neither did their current (at the time) Asda offer say it was for new customers but they claimed that was too.

Hi Ray,
Unless this was a new TopCashback Member Deal the Asda grocery cashback rate says 'New Customer Grocery Shop £25+'

This is as clear as we can make it that cashback will only be awarded to new Asda customers. As bonuses are linked to the transaction that is made if the transaction is declined the cashback will be also.
Best wishes,
Matt

It's better to not do selected customers only things, it just antagonises anyone not eligible.

What annoys me about TCB is receiving e-mails which promise special promotions and then you click on them only to be told 'you do not qualify for this promotion'. Why do they send an email when you don't qualify!

You have to be careful with these deals. I lost my October £2.50 bonus because some unscrupulous retailer declined my cashback, which meant TCB declined my bonus.

The retailer may have been right to decline it (I used a voucher that was only valid for myself) but I still fulfilled TCB's requirements - making a purchase worth £10 or more.

Hi Muhaalb,

You will only get this sort of pop up if you are a not a new member and you are trying to take part in a new member deal.
The emails you mention, this could happen for one of two reasons; either you have more than one email registered to us in which case I would advise you to close this as the earliest opportunity as it is a breach of our terms.

Or, it could be you are on the mailing list of a mailing list for another company who has emailed their mailing list about the cashback deal. As we are very strict on sharing information they do not know which of their mailing list is or isn't a new member and so existing members of our site may get an email from a different company about the deal.

As I am sure you can understand under both of these circumstances this is not something we could prevent for you. If you still believe the email has come from us I would advise you to send in a support ticket so our team can investigate.

Best wishes,
Matt

Hi Sophie,

As I am sure you can understand if we awarded the bonus even if the transaction has been declined this would insinuate to people that even if you purchase something, cancel it and still get £2.50.

I appreciate not all cashback gets declined because of cancelled orders but we have to create terms that are fair for everyone. There isn't a way to say 'we'll pay for declined cashback in this case, but we won't for this case' Therefore awarding successfully tracked cashback is the only stringent and fair way to do this.

Of course, should you cashback go on do declined you can lodge a claim and should that claim be successful we will be happy to pay the bonus for you. But for declined cashback that has been declined by the merchant for a reason, there just isn't a fair way to award the bonus.

Best wishes,
Matt

I see your point, but I do disagree that there isn't a fair way to award the bonus. What I purchased was a non-refundable non-cancelable travel ticket so surely proof of purchase should be enough. It's just frustrating because I could have used that bonus on something else.

Oh well, I'll just take it as a lesson learned. I'm only really annoyed at the retailer for giving with one hand and taking with another. My mistake for thinking a personal voucher code would be treated differently to a general one, but no doubt they sent these personal codes to a million people.
