They are the original design well mk2 with painted eyes and rubber hands
Still have a couple of original 1970s somewhere. The Escape from Colditz pack was excellent, the Scorpion tank an expensive disappointment, and stop-action films of action men stories always cropped up on bbc kids tv.

My German motorbike and sidecar were favourite accessories - as was a non action man armoured car that was tough enough to sit on and wheel about the battlefield. Turret was a hexagon shape.

Also had a jeep I'm sure.

Happy days.
Wow! Can’t believe Acton Man is 50 years old! Good deal for xmas. Thanks for posting.

Actually, better still to get the £16.99 footballer, then buy the uniform packs seperately, there are 40th edition or originals on ebay.

I don't remember that at all, is that a more recent addition (by that I mean, was it available in the '70s?), can remember most things as my Bro' and I had an extensive collection - OK we had a massive collection, even had things like the Kettenkraftrad, Scorpion Tank, Motorbike & Sidecar, Scout Car, Submarine, Pursuit Plane, Command HQ (complete with bed lol) ... Jeez our Mum must have spent loads lol ... Brings back some nice memories!

Yes I was quite spolit with action man stuff. Had loads myself. But then I only had a cheap second hand bike until my teens while others had more expensive ones, so swings and roundabouts. Forgot about the pursuit plane that could turn into a vehicle and a boat. Came with a green pilot suit. Shoulder holster with I believe a Walther PPK. Well, mine did.

As for the command centre I think I had it Xmas 1980.

I seem to recall getting a guard dog for around that!

He was apparently called 'Brutus'

21 stars was a brand new Action Man, minus clothing...
Mines just arrived and not really impressed , it looks the part but it’s a show item. The plastic the dolls body is made from is on par with Poundland on the torso. I may keep the clothing and keep my eye on eBay for a period body at a reasonable price
