Good deal for those cheap PC Builds that cover COD Warzone, now that that download has grown to gargantuan size. You can also consider this 480GB from Asenno on Amazon for £37.30 with next day delivery (for those with prime).

Sorry to hijack your post, Tacavas, but it's all about putting cheap SSDs into peoples hands at the end of the day, and the Asenno deal didn't actually pass muster for a stand-alone post on HUDK, despite being fulfilled by Amazon.

EDIT: Received mine yesterday!

Bought this the last time it came on offer. Replaced a 5200 rpm HDD in my laptop with this and now windows 10 loads in under 10 seconds from pressing the on button. Also CCLonline managed to get it to me within 48 hours of me ordering the ssd!!
I went for the sunbow 1tb for £67 which I think was best value but this seems decent too
Hm.. wonder if I should replace my Integral 120GB with this for my backup needs?
CCL free delivery takes over a week according to website. Anyone know if they actually dispatch it sooner than that? I've never tried them

I think the answer is, it depends. I had an order take over a week, last week (they didn't actually despatch it for 6 days). But I've also had the free delivery come in 48hrs.

Your backup is covered by 120gb?
is windows 10 still free?
If someone still have operating system loaded on HDD (even a “quick” one 7200rpm) should just try running some from flash drive and after calming down from excitement- should get SSD - ANY.

Cause such person can’t be a believer. He needs experience himself.
HDD - SSD Upgrade is least expensive way to WOW your system.
CPU upgrade - let’s say gen4 intel - to gen 9 quad core - no real life feel of upgrade. Just placebo effect.
RAM upgrade - 4-8 or more only noticeable when using it daytoday. In my view in 2020 8GB DDR3 of 1666Mhz minimal if you do at least some AA games titles.
Graphics upgrade - well we talking money here. A bit Gaming then 1060 with 4Gb is good average.
If no gaming or graphic works - integrates is more than enough to run office hassle free.
Talking from experience of building and servicing PC’s.

My 4yrs old PC still capable running AA /AAA title games in comfortable way.
400watt PSU, Intel 4570 quad core, 16GB RAM (just because I need this for graphics/video work), and 6Gb 1060 Nvidia. (Best investment should be a monitor) mine - 32inch Samsung QLED 850.
Runs most games kids ask. Red dead redemption- 40-60fps and average settings.
Well, yes I do have custom settings on most drivers- because WINDOWS 10,like the rest of windows OS- NOT STABLE.

SSD Upgrade from HDD is over 25% performance boost and 99% people would agree.

As with pretty much everywhere, there's 2 piles - those who selected next day delivery, and those who didn't. Once column A is done, column B then gets sent out. Could be today, could be next week, and that's the choice you get.
Will this work on a PS4? Does it run the PS4 cooler, with the fans not kicking in to aeroplane mode?

it will work on PS4 and may speed some loading times up but the ' aeroplane mode' won't be affected. if your console was working fine, nothing changed and now became noisy it needs cleaning / reapplying thermal.paste

I order a lot from CCL. The free delivery is slow, and almost always arrives on the day they say. Worst part is they still use a next day service, but they just wait a week to dispatch it
How good is this compared to the WD Blue SSD of the same size?

With the HDD on my laptop it took about 5 mins before the computer was usable cause it was loading all resources probably into ram etc. I mean I could use it but I could tell it was lagging cause the HDD was still doing stuff. But with the new SSD press the on button loads windows to login in 10 secs. Then enter pin and the laptop is straight away usable. Before with HDD I would wait for about 5 mins before I could double click and load chrome. Now it's as soon as I've logged in I can load chrome instantly.

It is a recommended upgrade.

It is if you have a genuine windows 7 installed on your machine. You can still upgrade it free to windows 10 using the windows 10 download on Microsoft's webpage.

Same as what your old one was, if memory serves. If you had 7 home, you don’t get 10 pro.

Most of the time thats normally a fps problem, for example when playing warzone there is no noise, however sitting in a menu will cause the ps4 fans to ramp up like a jet engine, because they have not limited the fps in the menus, nothing will change that.
Very tempted at this price as a secondary storage drive.

Anyone know how this compares to the Adata SU630, which I was planning to get. They're about £45 for the 480GB.
Bargain to me, thanks!

I bought one of those £37 ones and put it in a mid range gaming pc this week. It's kicking arse so far. Can't go wrong.
So if I wanted to get this to replace my slow mechanical drive , do I need a bit of software to transfer data over ? Or will I need to do a fresh install from operating system right through to every bit of software I have?

I use Macrium Reflect. It's free, quick and good. Not exactly easy to use, but a quick youtube tute will sort you out.

If you are changing size of SSD to a larger or smaller one then it should also, hopefully allow you to shrink and grow your partitions to suit. If reducing from HDD to SSD you might need to do a defrag to get all the blocks on your disk to be compacted and contiguous.

With my Dell it was simply a case of undoing the 4 screws on the cover, sliding out the old drive and sliding in the new one. Slightly more of a challenge was cloning the drive first. I bought a cheap 2.5 inch external USB caddy and cloned it with. I think I used Acronis as it came free with the SSD drive I bought. It all worked perfectly after so I must have done it correctly.

The caddy came in handy afterwards for additional storage. There is probably a YouTube video walking you through the process.

Just download one of the many Windows 10 PE ISO's (Sergei Streclec's WinPE - Gandalf's Windows 10PE X64 ..etc )
Then use one of the many disk cloning tools provided, my favorites are Symantec Ghost 12 and CLoneZilla.

"Icy box" or "sata hard drive duplicator" are the best way to go. Quick and easy. The new drive should always be the same size or bigger than the old one though.

Failing that, Macrium reflect is a slower but cheaper way.

Please only download official ISOs directly from Microsoft. It's way too easy for attackers to bundle extra malware into custom iso packages.
They are just pre installers and perfectly safe.
Also custom/tweaked Windows 10 ISO's are fine if you understand what you are doing!
A decent AV/Firewall (NOT Windows Defender!) will block and report any nefarious traffic/communication.
My modded Windows 10 Pro 19041.450 install is <4Gb's and much faster compared to a stock install. Windows 10 installs a bucket load of bloat :-(
