Good price. Any idea what's the cheapest all inclusive? Something to keep the girlfriend happy!

I would be careful about choosing the cheapest hotels. Last time the mrs and I were there we had to pay $14 a day for the air conditioner remote.

What dates do you get this price? Any ideas?

I'm struggling to find any deals close to this price.

I can never understand why so many ppl in the UK are struggling or broke. I am 38, the son of immigrants who came tothe UK and worked in some pretty crappy jobs. Now myself and all my siblings have less than 5 years on our mortgages and buy what we want. We laugh at £529

I mean come on. Stop buying stuff you don't need. Save in isa funds etc and build up some compound interest. PPl who live and will die struggling when they are in one of the richest countries on earth,,wtf..

BTW.. few years back this offer was £399..I guess if we add inflation its still hot

I've tried a few different bits and can't find anything that's a bargain. If anything, it's dearer than other places. Sovereign have beaten every search I've tried so far.

My wife and I went two years ago on a virgin holiday deal that cost £950 for the both of us for 9 days. This is still pretty hot though.

You sound like a trust fund child to me, wrapped in cotton wool.

That's very good for you and commendable, everyone has a different skill set, some work as nurses for little pay etc. luckily we are all different.

Actually you have just reinforced my argument. At my office there is a Nigerian cleaner who has worked for my company for the last 8 years or so. She has nearly completed building house in Nigeria and owns a flat here. Every Xmas she flies over there to see family with gifts and money. She is a cleaner,

I think nurses, police, civil servants etc get a very good pay. Their handling of money is bad and they are not financially literate.

I bought a house as a student. Worked in the day, studied at night. I stacked shelves, cleaned offices and worked in warehouses. All on pay LESS than a nurse now I own a house, a flat that I rent out and am building a retirement house for my Mum abroad.

Explain that.

I'm also the child of immigrants who worked very hard and brought us up to have a good work ethic and make enough for ourselves and our future security. However, they also taught me manners and how to be a decent compassionate human being. Your blind judgement of others' situations, to be frank, makes me think you are not as rich as you think. In fact, those who cannot afford it, in this case, are possibly much richer than you in ways that it matters.

Plus, if you "laugh at £529", it suggests that you don't appreciate the value of money. Also, people struggling in a rich country makes sense, as in a rich country, goods tend to be more expensive. This makes it even worse for those who do not or cannot find jobs e.g. through illness, lack of opportunity, bad luck.

Barbados is a beautiful island and BA will take care of you.
There is a Fish Fry event on Fridays near St Lawrence Gap called Oystins I think. When we went we rented an SUV and its great. Drive on the left and you can drive around the whole island in 5-9 hours with stops.

Go to Bathsheba..breathtaking. On the Atlantic side.

Thanks to poster. Definitely a good deal.

Some folk r blessed with more than others whether they worked for it all or were fed by a silver spoon. We all have different stories and face differing trials n tribulations n joys too. The destiny view aside, u make a good point one I feel children of migrants can more easily see...we waste a lot in the UK on things we don't need or things that don't add value to our life. How often do we see on a thread the comment 'ordered but can't justify it' this site is great at hunting bargains n saving money but it's also costly as some of us become victims of consumerism. After all said and done...hot deal OP!

Some quality WUMing on show in this thread. Bravo.

Anyway. Back to topic.
The deal has the advantage of named hotels. Careful where you stay in Barbados. St Lawrence gap is ok otherwise try to stay on the Atlantic side.

Yep. You can always tell the haves from the have nots. The have nots get wound up so easily.
Fortunately some of us have our bank and fund accounts to comfort us

I feel comforted by the fact that poseidonxxx has clearly not yet received everything in life that he truly deserves.

You have to remember that the habits and expectations passed on through each family is different. You appear to possess the luck, skills, self-reliance and drive that have made you 'successful', but clearly everyone can't be top-of-the-pile.

Being 38 you may well have been able to take advantage of the Greenspan era when credit was thrown at people, and many peoples' circumstances allowed them to build a very good base before the pyramid crashed. The losses have now been pushed onto the little people and the frivolous people who can't or don't anticipate how the game is played.

Congrats, you've made it. now go back home x

Not aiming to feed the troll, but if you send all the tax paying landlords back home, how do you hope to raise money to pay benefits ?

Back to the deal people.

Is this good for Barbados? Anyone been before recommend the best time to go?

Barbados is great all year round, There is a monsoon season if i remember correctly. We went in September and there was a bit of rain but still was able to go diving, and jet skiing.

The ostins friday night fish 'party' is great and the people are friendly.

And yes this is a good deal

Everything is a struggle then you blame successful people like me for your low achievements. The empire is dead. Wake up :)If we can't throw you out we will breed you out. This country is ours now. The office of national stats agree that indigenous will disappear in a matter of decades. Financially..you already have :)People from Barbados tend to be quite cold despite the hot weather. Don't be put off by this. Still a hot deal.

You really shouldn't generalise. I am an immigrant myself, I came to the country less than 5 years ago, never worked odd jobs like you claim to. But i am also much younger than you are and already own a home and have rental properties.

I might agree with some of the things you have said, but there are also a lot of british who are hard working and are at the top of their game. You wouldn't seem to know this because you are a self acclaimed slum lord, I however work for a fortune 500 company and a lot of my colleagues and bosses are go getters ad over achievers.

Lets please go back to discussing the deal

Back to topic people.. jeez, I'm going to look at some other threads..this one has grown as pathetic as the lives of the 'struggling' people commenting

I am so rich i am now fueling my wood burner by throwing blocks of compressed £50 notes in it and I don't even need the heating on......Yet i still spend my internet time on HDUK and MSE etc.....

Ok back to reality: where poseidon does have a point is if you are willing to work for something you will get it by hard work and not spending on things you don't need.

Can you explain how sending these people back solves the problem ?

I feel sorry for the OP as they've posted a decent deal only to get it hijacked by a bigot - for what its worth OP I've voted hot

So you are paying benefits to people to give to landlords who are taxed as a smaller fraction of the initial input?
And you think that the fraction is sufficient to pay for more benefits?

Your absurd assumptions and lack of mathematical capability demonstrate why it is easy to prosper in Britain: just take advantage of all the stupid people.

If im not mistaken did i say send ALL these people back?I only mentioned the person in question the big shot drug dealing cartel dealer with many slum properties.Pipe down little man with the hard name.

This is why you lot are struggling. Let me school you.
1. It is precisely BECAUSE I visit sites like this and always look for the best deals in life that I have so much money. What you fail to understand is that people like me have money because we are business minded from the price we pay for a mars bar to the price we pay for a business acquisition.
2, The reason you lot are poor is that silly attitude of hard work brings success lol. Work smart not hard then you can hire people to do the hard work and get great tax breaks from quaint little islands like the UK. No hard work needed. Now run along ..lol

Lets remove the eastern europeans from the equation, The nigerians and other immigrants usually come here on highly skilled migration schemes and are required to earn at least 35k to sustain it, or come here and stay after paying exhorbitant student fees. Either way they end up paying tax and are not eligible for benefits.

Yes the government isnt doing enough to kick out the illegal immigrants, but the legal immigrants are doing the country a favor

Original Poster

I can't believe the debate that's flared up because of one persons obvious tongue in cheek comments about being rich.:)

Just to stick my tuppence worth in...
Good price for a trip to Barbados. BA flights alone are usually more than that.
The whole argument re money is interesting. I agree with a few of the comments poseidonxxx has made.
Actually pay in this country is excellent if you're willing to work hard. I work a 48 hour week (averaged over the month). I take home a reasonable wage, I'm 28 my fiancee is 23 and a nurse. I own a house, she owns a house which is rented out.
We both have cars, we take a nice holiday every year. We live well without really being particularly strict with spending. Admittedly we dont have kids yet.
I dont understand what a lot of ppl spend their money on. If you dont smoke, and you dont spend £200 a week on nights out, a decent life is easily had on an average wage.

And before anyone says how much we must have been left in trust funds, my parents earn very little. We just both work hard and dont waste money on pointless stuff.
We'd all be a lot richer if we werent supporting the lazy benefit scroungers.
The immigrant population like poseidonxxx are invariably hard working, driven and have the right attitude - the desire to succeed. Too many brits are happy to sit at home & moan about immigration rather than get a job themselves.
PS: im white british before anyone starts.
