Anyone interested in the 55 inch LG B7 Selfridge have it reduced to £1399. Spotted it yesterday at the Trafford centre.

Maybe but what usually happens is they just sell out. Not sure the previous year's model, B6V, came down below this price.
They look to be selling out, I just ordered one at £1430, as its a great deal. The new one is going to be £2500 plus. After a hands on with the new one, here is what Reviewed.com said- think I'd rather have the £1k + in my pocket-
"Fact is, like CNET's David Katzmaier already said, 2017 OLED buyers just aren't going to have buyer's remorse. The new features are very welcome, but are not a compelling reason to upgrade. Likewise, adding more HDR format support (such as Technicolor HDR or Hybrid-Log Gamma) is a professional or specialist requirement that almost doesn't impact consumers at all."
"The LG Signature OLED W8 (OLED65W8) doesn’t rewrite the book on LG OLED panels - in fact, there’s no tangible improvement to the panel from last year to this year. But, that being said, several improvements to the software side of things, including a larger look-up table and Google Assistant, make this year’s W8 a serious contender in the upcoming battle for ‘best TV of 2018’.
FOR
AGAINST
- Same panel as last year
- No increase in brightness
- Soundbar is still 4.2"
Pocket Lint say:" (About the 8 series) We were privvy to various demos showing off this enhanced processing. It's certainly an improvement, but the jump between 2017 and 2018 models isn't huge. Yes, banding is better handled and there's less shimmer in fine detail of moving subjects compared to the 2017 model. But it's a relatively minor jump."

Oh dear (shakeshead)
Never has been that price...
Brightness not an issue. When you have true black the brightness (nits level) does not need to be so high. Either way brightness is fine...
Who?
It amazes me that in 2018 people are still complaining about the 'undeserving poor' having flat screen tv's - you actually want them to have boxy crt TV's? Why not just accept that it hurts you to see others have nice things?
So you can 100%confirm they will be going down in price shortly??. Thought not !
I know they will, like most tech go down in price .. i will guarantee it within a few months you will see it £100-£200 cheaper
You missed out then .. 1000% was £1299 before christmas .. i have been keeping my eye on the price of these units and the c7
The poor are actually wealthier than than rich in many ways, however its common sense to live within your means.
It doesn't happen like that, stock just disappears. I missed out on the KS7500 Samsung range last year thinking prices will completely bottom out, but they don't! Stock dries up and it will just show OOS everywhere
Fancy a little side-bet on that?
From what I'm reading, there is no need for a further reduction in price as stock will have depleated before the need to "shift" these units in preparation for the 2018 models.
I'm not saying there will not be the "odd reduction" as a store has a couple left to shift, however I will be extremely surprised if we see a widespread drop in pirce on this.
The LG OLEDs are truly stunning though. Planet Earth 2 on 4K BluRay with HDR is gorgeous and the detail and highlights have to be seen. WebOS is easy to use and the built in Apps work well.
Ive got a 42in g20 still going strong. Cant remember how old it even is lol
Its our bedroom tv having upgraded over the years downstairs tvs
any currys/pcworld now too
