Just a warning because Samsung won't talk about it, these screens have a coating on them which cannot be replaced, so if you ever clean it whatever you do, dont touch it, as annoying as it is to have dirt marks if you touch them you'll create a blue tinge to the screen which you cannot then fix, it's frustrating and the biggest downside to these screens, also I've had three qled panels two faulty on my third now which doesn't install much faith in their lifespan.
Also QLED and OLED are completely different, current QLED models are no way near OLEDs in capability yet but have less of the reliability concerns although the coating mentioned above certainly seems concerning.

You are correct, the QLED offers a far brighter display than any OLED can dream of offering. If the brightest brights are what you demand, you shouldn't be buying OLED.

Say what?! You can't clean your TV screen because it'll damage the screen? That ain't normal nor fit for purpose. Me thinks a product recall is needed.

I have a 55" Sony XE9305 and apart from 3 dead pixels I've just noticed the panel is still excellent. After reading the horror stories regarding Samsung and LG I may well stick to Sony sets. Only when they can come up with technology which delivers the picture of OLED but without ANY risk of screen burn.

Before anyone comes in and says burn in/image retention isn't real. You try being a gamer, playing the same game, multiple hours every day. It all comes down to use. I don't expect Mike who only watches normal TV an hour every night to experience any issues, doesn't mean the issues don't exist.

I've not had a problem cleaning my toddlers finger Mark's off mine regularly. Use the cloth provided and just water and be very gentle. Clean the cloth regularly or you'll just be smudging the dirt back on.
Lol at the 10 year screen burn warranty.

That's just the cleaning notes, fact is these are prone to a blue hue if you touch the screen with any cloth, you may not notice it at first but trust me it's horrible when its noticeable, I've left the screen protector on my current one as I can't bear any sort of imperfections and yeah I was super careful with cleaning the first one I owned, others may vary but the QE65Q8FAM which i own honestly is not worth the headache if you need to clean them.

QLED is still brighter, better for gaming and you don’t have to worry about screen burn in. OLEDs do have fantastic contrast and the panel is a superior technology compared to LCD but it’s not without drawbacks.
Got this during the week for my bedroom. Great TV but my OLED TV is way better.

I had the blue areas on mine from previous cleaning attempts. all it needed was a clean with water and a clean cloth. Screen is now perfect from any angle you look.

I did think the screen was ruined until I tried again.
Whatever you do don't put 10 year screen burn warranty in the post...........oops, too late
Is there a 43 inch version

Yes but QLED also offer the greyest blacks so...

0.0 to 0.0036 Nits measured black levels on the FALD QLEDs is not grey...

And of course QLEDs have better colour reproduction / a wider colour gamut than OLEDs.

And QLEDs don't get burn in.

This is a low end QLED. The high end ones beat OLED for gaming and HDR.
