This thread lists BluRays that were posted hours before this thread was created. That is why. But it would be a bit churlish to remove the ones that have been posted from philmitchell's list that were posted first eg The Fall, Astro Boy, Downfall, Apocalypto as philmitchell has done such a good job of listing the majority of the good BluRay bargains at Play in one thread.

Not really, because not all of the films are worth the fiver, so i don't see the point of this post really IMO. Theres a difference between spamming and picking out the best of the lot, which is what individual posts are good for. Otherwise, are you referring to the great poster Andywedge as a spammer?? Hmmm...

Surely whether a film is any good or not is pretty subjective. Films you may hate and rate not woth 5p someone else may love and think they are well worth the fiver. Horses for courses and all that.

Makes far more sense to have them all in one post if you ask me.

You NEED to own this.. and it's a steal at a fiver!

One of the most glorious looking films ever.. and one for HD.

EDIT: I see there's a seperate deal for this, but it's a really amazing film.

Just checked, this is the 'normal' edition that is heavily cut at 2:27. The full two movies at 4:53 is the 'special edition' which is £6.99.

We were soldiers in an awesome film but the blu-ray quality is crap and I actually sold my copy and kept my dvd copy.

Don't get me wrong it's perfectly watchable and if you don't have it on dvd you've not wasted your money but the dvd picture is better.

A good blu-ray disc looks amazing but if the transfer is bad they often look worse in high def than a dvd.

"Downfall", "Apocalypto" and "Equilibrium" seem to be the best of that bunch... and they're not bad films, "Downfall" is one of my all time favourites...
