what is "free upfront cost" shouldn't it be "no upfront cost" - how can something be free if you don't actually get anything for it
On what planet is this a good deal?
Bit of a faf cashback from the same people brings it down to £26 a month

Fonehouse has both autocashback and redemption cashback options. In redemption cashback, you have to upload the bill every alternate month for the cashback. In that option, the cashback is 144
20% code on ebay bringing the price down to 30 pounds a month.

Or go with smarty for £18/month, no contract for unlimited data...

On what planet is this a good deal?

If EE FULL 4G access if what one needs then there is no competition...

EE £35 x 18m £630
FH £38 x 12m £371

That’s over 41% discount in comparison to EE directly with a circa 33.3% shorter minimum term.

If you find better 5G Smart Unlimited please do post the deal up

Na, EE is the worst network here. I’m certainly not using it, I know people who have no choice... well till Threes 5G rollout comes out of COVID isolation that is. It’s all on hold for capacity upgrades & MBNL ‘EE’ only base station Three activations said the Three IRE/U.K. joint CEO.

Shame they are having to hold 5G and activate 4G where needed, COVID times it is though. That’s life.

It’s the best price. Not everyone HUKD lives with me and a bad EE signal
This is the best autocashback deal for this tariff. If people don't know it,don't use EE,or don't appreciate the effort,or just think that since three or Smarty or even Vodafone cost less then this deal is not a good one, nothing will be worth to try to show them things in a different perspective. I tested professionally all networks in my house. The second best one's maximum download speed was around 45mbps. EE went over 130mbps. You always have to test networks for your area, sure, but that being said EE is generally outperforming the others and by a great deal..unfortunately this costs you more, but it might be worth.
I'll soon replace my three AYCE with EE as home broadband replacement (sim in a router),just not sure if going for the 200gb tariff or the unlimited,on the 18 months contract. Then I'll buy the second cheapest EE secondary sim I can find and will gift sharing 100gb from the main one. It should cost me around £31-£32pm for 2 sims, one with unlimited data and the other with 100gb for the phone. I'm spending almost £43 now for three and Vodafone for the same data, so will even save at least £11 each month.
So people might think deals like this are expensive ( I'll go for the other one with £144 cashback as I'll claim the bills discounts for sure),but then if they consider some benefits like the data gift sharing they might actually save on the total of the bills.. voted hot.

It’s been a mess since T-Mobile 3G, broken calls - data gets priority, Orange merger was better as 2 networks, then when Closed/rolled in to EE got worse again, then 4G..worse still. VoLTE doesn’t stop calls breaking up.

Can only assume base stations backhaul capacity are very bad. Overhaul needed for 15 years.

Absolutely NOT!

Still waiting for a cheaper 5G with BT Sport/USA roaming/Britbox, EE full coverage & max speed to be posted, etc. to be posted - aside from the redemption offer at the same merchant, nothing comes close.

Potentially supid question: In the detail for the plan it says "5G Ready EEEnjoy the fastest speeds available in your area with an EE 5G Ready plan. When 5G is available in your location, your plan will automatically change to 5G connectivity to give you uninterrupted browsing, you won’t even need to change your plan! (5G Device Required"

Does mean that the plan is only upgraded to 5G when 5G is available where you live or will you automatically get 5G if you visit a 5G area?

No it means if you have 5G hardware the sim and plan inclusion means it will connect to 5G as soon as you connect to base stations that are broadcasting it.

Thanks, was just worded oddly. Ordered anyway on the manual cash-back version of the deal.
