Not a bad deal but for heavy users the £18 45gb is a great price right now
Seems like a brill deal!
plusnet do 4gb/2000/2000 for the same price but a 30 day contract.

EDIT: Just in case someone didn't want the commitment

Hi, Virgin vs O2 coverage?

Hi, Virgin vs O2 coverage?

Depends on where you live and travel.

You need to do your own homework.

You will never find a mobile network that covers all corners of the world.

How does the data roll over work...

Do you need to have a minimum amount of unused data or do they round it down to the nearest mb or gb?

Does it rollover indefinitely?

Thanks

As an example, my rolled over unused data from last month was 1.76GB so its rounded to the nearest 10mb.
I don't know if there is a minimum amount needed for rollover, I've never taken it that low.
The rolled over data is used first, then it starts using this months 5GB allowance.
Its not indefinite, if I don't use the 1.76GB of rolled over data from last month then I lose it, it doesn't rollover again to next month. Only unused data from this months 5GB allowance will roll forward.
I'm on 4gb 2500mins unlimited text,12 month contract £8 just gone up to £8-26p a month contract runs out in a week,They rang me to try and get me to sign up to another 12 month and they could leave it at £8,As if i would sign up to another year to save 26p a month. No chance it will be a 30 day rolling from now till a cheaper deal comes along.
I want to do this first thing tomorrow switching from EE to this anyone know how long this deal will remain?

Also it's my first time switching away from EE do i have to contact EE first to leave and then join Virgin Mobile? Can i keep my mobile number too? Thanks

If you’re with another provider and your contract period has ended, it’s time to say adios. Give them a call and tell them you’d like to cancel your contract. But before you hang up, ask them for your PAC code. You’ll need this if you want to transfer your number to your new mobile.

If you’re still under contract, you can still leave your old provider, but you might need to pay a termination fee for them to release you. But hurry, the PAC code is only valid for 30 days.

Not sure when the deal ends only started today though

My 100GB rolls over ok, and last month I had nearly 200GB and this month same.
I cannot remember but I may need another sim for my son. Do Virgin stop the data once its all used up, or do they let you keep on using data at extortionist rates. I do not want to give my son 100GB / month, something more sensible or he will never be off his new phone :).

  • Roam like home in 43 destinations - unless you want 4g. Known issue that the new sims dont offer 4g abroad. Do some research if this is important to you.

Thanks for sharing, Hussnan
Great deal. Thanks
Anyone know if this is a proper 5gb allowance? My bro is on £8 for 3gb but is made up of 1gb base data and a triple data add on and the data rollover only applies to the 1gb base data.

Be careful with virgin media they will change your tariff and mobile bill whenever they choose to. Read the terms and conditions.
Make sure you keep tabs on how much is taken out each month.
Virginia lied to me...a right mess to sort out my escape.
Can anyone sign up for this deal? I'm getting an error page when I click 'Get this offer'
Ordered 2 days ago. Seems more or less the same as the coverage I used to get from EE
thanks op just ordered 3 sims over the phone
