The last rice I bought like this was from PAK supermarket in Brum. I have to say that it cooks a lot better that Tilda etc and all the supermarket own brands. It never sticks together and it tastes good

best basmati rice. used to buy at this price from amazon.

Bought Badshah basmati 10kg bag some weeks back from tesco. Was not happy with it as the rice didnt cook well, came up sticky & no aroma. I wouldn't buy this brand again.

sorry to say I didn't do it wrong. I cook rice almost daily so I know not to mess it up unless the rice isn't good.

something not right here my mum and i have been using badshah & basmati for years! only a handful of times it messed up due to soaking it for too long or adding too much water approx 6/1000 times

do you soak there rice to remove starch...?
have you used basmati rice before
why i ask people who tend to use easy cook or any other rice use the same method when cooking basmati hence why they mess up

We hadnt used this stuff before so just followed the instructions on the back to be on the safe side n turned out fine (though I dont think it says how much water to soak it in).

Hah made the mistake of trying to fry it on another batch and that just turned into a big mess looked like porridge, due to the water im guessing.

hahahaha big mistake
its a guessing game when it come to rice years of experience will teach you . i usually soak the rice for 30 mins and 1" above the rice and temperature of water not hot or cold and after 30 mins i keep rinsing out the starch for about 5 mins but it varys to the amount of rice used and the type of bowl you use
