not really their mince is over priced! and no weights advertised on the majority of their meats. Therefore, you are going to pay a lot for very little in comparison to the super markets.
Amazing price compared to supermarket prices. Anyone used them before, how is the quality of the chicken?

Any suggestions on another good buy to go with this for the £25 min spend appreciated, really thinking of trying this!

Heated.
£3.95 delivery is a spoiler for small orders.
Great initial price, but devalued by other high prices.
Voted hot, but I'll give it a miss.
it's not an "amazing" price, just a loss leader to get you in. COLD

it IS a pretty amazing price for that particular item, didn't get chance to look through the whole store. Unless it's one per customer you could always just buy two of the chicken to get over £25 though you would have to have a LOT of freezer space or eat a load of chicken....
I used to buy online but struck a deal at my local farmers market for organic breasts purchased monthly.
Good price, also got an offer today from MuscleFood for 5kg @ £10 if interested. Think it's today only though:

That's even better, is delivery included though? Also have you tried their chicken before?

Thanks, I tried the muscle foods one but they seem to want me to buy freezer bags for some reason? (can't select 0) and minimum delivery is £3.95. If it was £10 all in I'd have been all over it. Still very good price though compared to supermarket. Are those kind of offers common though? as I might just wait till the next one since I have some chicken left still at the moment....

Muscle foods chicken is very poor quality, quite often contains bone as poorly cut. Go to your local butcher mine does 5kg of premium chicken breast for £19.99 and top quality. But you half to ask for it in 5kg quantity.

I have found that even when the offer 'expires' you can still manually apply the code after the supposed expiry i.e. manually apply code SPECIALCHICKEN

Ah, i never had that freezer bag business. The chicken breast offers come up all the time. Kinda like when DFS have a sofa sale"/
Compared to the supermarket it is WAY better but the butchers is still king, mine also does 5kg chicken breast but for £25 it lasts me 3 months a time and the sizes are like dinosaur portions.

Cheers for that, got a bunch of cool stuff and 5kg chicken for just over £30, apparently if you subscribe every 4 weeks the chicken stays at £10 month on month which is pretty cool if you looking to build lean mass like myself.. practically living on chicken breasts and rice on a daily basis X)

Slight calorie surplus will do the same thing. Chicken broccoli rice combo is a myth and will lead to micronutrients deficits.

Not from muscle foods as it's the poor quality chicken thats tosh!

I've had them before numerous times, its really not that bad if you wash the coating off the breasts (talking about the premium breasts) before freezing, generally much meatier and wholesome breasts than supermarkets, butchers are good yes but I don't fancy the trip, breasts getting warm in the car etc so it's really a matter of convenience!

I agree that Muscle Foods chicken is very good; it just tastes like proper lean meat, rather than the chewy tripe you can buy from most supermarkets. Only thing that put us off buying regularly from MF is the delivery fee and the requirement to spend £5 (or close to) on ice packs. It makes each order quite expensive when, for £25, I can buy 5 kilos of good chicken from the butcher up the road.
Warning- don't buy livelean.I took the last deal. The livelean "premium" chicken that arrived from eastern Europe was poorly trimmed, blood, and bits of i think windpipe stuck to it. See pics below. They completely ignored me on the eChat and email, and the telephone number on the invoice doesn't work. I am also suspicious at the number of one time posters on trust pilot offering 5 stars, interspaced with 0 stars with experiences like mine.

Thanks for the warning. I assume this was with Livelean rather than Musclefood?

Anyone experienced this too?

Also, what's people's opinions/experience with regards to water content in these type of things? Get my chicken breast for £10 (3kg) but I'd guesstimate 10-20% of it is water. So looking at alternatives.

Yeah, those pics above are from livelean.

Ive gone back to using musclefood. Though I have had the odd blip on burst packs the quality of their chicken is what musclefood say it is. They are well trimmed, no bone or blood, virtually no water loss, and they look like something you'd want to eat!And whilst musclefood CS isn't brilliant the CS from live lean was none existent.

Musclefood is without a doubt the best I've tried apart from the butchers... lean meat and wholesome breasts
