How on earth did they get 5kg of my protein? Have they been scraping the tissues?

At this price, I think I'll just stick with steak

so is this a good deal then?

LOL @ 'to celebrate the election'

"hey buds, come round my place and we'll celebrate the hung parliament with a few protein shakes and muscle rubs!"

It's not the best deal, but it's not the worst deal, since you don't know too much about pricing I'd say ask yourself if you'd rather a smaller bag first since it seems like it's your first time using any protein, I'd also ask yourself is whey what you really want (that all depends what you want to do) You also have to keep in mind that whey proteins are fast acting proteins. If it's your first time I'd say go with a 1kg bag of whey see if you actually use it, I personally used a milk based protein, some whey based protein, egg white powder and calcium cesianate, all of them have slightly different tastes even with the same flavouring though

I'd avoid this stuff - very chalky and not that tasty.

ps - whose coming back to mine for muscle rubs?

its ESSENTIAL you want a fast acting whey first thing in the morning and one straight after training . apart from that you want slow release protein ( before bed or periods without food ) as you dont want to get into a catabolic state , so go for a casein/milk protein to slow digest. the rest of your proteins must be gained from solids (beef, chicken , fish , eggs etc)

Depends what whey is in the mix. You have isolate (fast acting/digesting) then whey protein (medium) and casein (slow) - dependant on the mix will vary the absorption. Also, chuck in some extra virgin olive oil and it will slow down the digestion further still and add some essential fatty acids.

I personally recommend STC Nutritions protein - REALLY tasty and cheap - stcnutrition.co.uk/pro…tml

I Recomend Ultralife Protein And Lean Gain, Tastes Nice Aswell. And Actually Works.

I must have a different concept of what "cheap" means!

TBH training becomes costly once you get into it, buying the right foods, protein etc.

Well they are £23.50 a tub, look at other 'brands' and you are paying £10-15 more, for less protein and poor taste.

I champion STC as I think they are a great brand and cheaper than the competition and taste a mile better and are 83% protein per tub - whats not to like?

As for PHD - great brand, great taste but no better than STC. And 40-50% more expensive!

Aye. Anyway, £23.50 per tub and it gives you 45 x 50g meals (course you need some carbs in there too) at 52p per meal.

Then again people are happy paying £3-4 a day for a sandwhich/subway/mcdonalds etc. Different strokes, different folks.

what type of carbs in particular do you take with this brand of protein in a bulk cycle and a dieting cycle

Cutting I don't have any carbs - I do a Dave Palumbo style keto diet. When I bulk i'll add in 30g of carbs per meal, usually whole grain rice, grits, oats, sweet potato etc.

However, over the last few days it has come to our attention that the formulations that we specified for the manufacture of our products have been severly compromised without our knowledge. We have been shocked to discover that that at some point over the past few months, our formulae have been tampered with by the manufacturers of these products and although we believed we were being supplied premium quality proteins made to British Standards, this has apparently not been the case.

We are absolutely appaled at this situation and are currently taking legal advice.

We would like to apologise to our faithful customers who have stood by us and are in the process of refunding those who have been sold products from these tainted batches. The refund offer applies to specific batch numbers only (see below).
