Good price - Cat 5 or 6?

Can't tell, camera shake didn't help
Cat 5 also there were some ADSL cables same price.
Cat 5 are no use if you want gigabit speeds i had loads of problems i could never get more than 100mbps transfers to my nas or any other pc on the network,i even bought a high end gigabit switch to try and fix it until someone mentioned changing my cables to cat5e or 6 and hey presto i am now gigabit speed!

Its always the simplest things that solve the problem!

I've got gigabit running on cat 5e without a problem, there's no way these cables will be cat5 they'll be 5e minimum.

Cheaper than a clothes line.
Cat 5e and above will all deliver gigabyte speeds, it’s just the length e.g cat5e won’t give gigabyte speeds over a long distance so it all depends on how much cable your putting down

Serious question - Why is there no way these will be CAT5? I’d think that’s exactly what these would be for such a cheap price for unsuspecting consumers who may not know the difference

Because cat 5e was released in 2001, so I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone still making a cable in a standard that was superceded 18 years ago, it would cost them more to have a separate production line just to make them.
Calm down guys, they are 5e, didn't know the letter e would cause such a row 😁
