I bought one at that price, with free delivery. Tried it out last night with some colour negatives. For a start, I noticed that they were all coming out too bright & washed out. This could be corrected either at the scanning stage, or after the scan, so not too much of a problem.

It was only when I compared the scanned negatives to the original prints that I noticed that purple colours were coming out as blue. All the other colours were OK except purple. No amount of tweaking could correct it, either before or after scanning.

I have a load of slides in the loft. I will try those & see if I get the same problem. If so it looks like it will have to go back for a replacement. I hope they still have them in stock, as the price has now gone back to £29.99.
