Yh but for 20p u get 2 things!

waiting for bespoke offer to come back on. Don't have to buy two sweets. Fingers crossed.

bigmandy you do realise that you get to keep the stuff you paid £2 for?

If your car has a 50ltr tank this saves you 50p plus you have 2 bottles of juice or sweets for free. even if they are overpriced to start with.

Of course it becomes a poor deal if fuel prices are cheaper in the area through supermarkets etc.

So prob only a good deal for those who live close to a shell and regularly fill up there.

The Tesco deal involves spending £50 to get 5p off per litre, so this is hot in comparison.

I should have but then the OP would not have got the heat its a £3.00 saving on a 60L fill which we do regularly so happy days! I always tend to fill up at Shell as its the closest to me and is normally the 1p more then Asda or Tesco, but I collect Shell Points

I fill up my motorbike for like £4.60 and it lasts me a week

Can you stack em? Eg. Buy 6 items for 15p off per litre?

Nice one. Thanks OP.

Also a good point is that you will get better mpg from a branded fuel over a supermarket one.

Sorry deallady, next time be quick.
I agree not a mega saving but It's a decent deal compared to supermarkets giving 5p off when you shop > £50!

Not worth it unless your always on the road / motorway & need to stop for fuel & refreshments as it's work lifestyle .

Whilst this is true, you could argue if you was going to spend £50 in Tesco anyway then you're getting the 5p off for nothing. Just like if you was going to buy a drink and a bag of sweets with this one.

Guess it's the way you look at it.

This offer is always on in BP

I would have thought bigmandy would appreciate free chocolate

Bit busy at work at the moment but will spend my weekend checking for you. B-)

Is the Lego still available too?

Really? Are there any stats to back that up? I always thought it all came from the same few refineries,

Both a 84 litre and 53 litre tank in need of filling this weekend, super hot from me.

The bags of sweets were £2.19 so need to spent £4.38 to save 5p per litre. I decided it wasn't worth it.

£2.19 for one bag of Cadbury eclairs.

Yes But It Ends On The 8th

cold dont really save anything as get more mpg on super market fuel

Looking at the list...surely the fizzy drinks or the big bottle of water would be the cheapest option?

Anyone know what the cheapest item from the list is?

Indeed. Probably about £2.50-3 for the two. So a small saving available.

I would often buy some drinks (at a petrol station, despite the price!) as I tend to go for long journeys, so this is a great deal for me. Essentially saving a few quid on every tank.

Coke and Diet Coke are £1.49 each, seemed the cheapest when I looked today.

It does take a bit of organising but, if you have more than one vehicle and they use the same fuel, you can line them up. As with the Tesco etc. deals, this one allows discount on up to 100 litres. The pump doesn't stop counting until you replace the nozzle so, you can fill up more than one tank and it counts as one purchase.

What are you driving a hummer

funboi123

Obviously not..

This almost makes motorway shell stations "normal" price

All the Shell stations in my area are 2 or 3p higher than anyone else

benkeny

LOL max 100 litre fill anyway which works out at a fiver.

Not a great deal due to the price of their sweets but any fuel saving does tend to get the juices flowing on here

KM4353

I fill up my motorbike for like £4.60 and it lasts me a week

Then you don't ride enough

Here is my example. Asda in my area is currently £1.267 per litre, Shell is £1.289 per litre. My car takes approx 60 litres.

cost to fill up at Asda £76.02
cost to fill up at Shell before discount £77.34
cost to fill up at Shell after discount £74.34

This saves me £1.68 in fuel cost alone.

£3 for two bottles of coke (for example), take off the £1.68 leaves me out of pocket by £1.32 but the plus side, I have two bottles of coke worth 75p each. (currently 2 for £1.50 in Tesco).

Total saving therefore £0.18 (for me at least).

Not sure if all garages do this but a lot cap the amount before the nozzle cuts out to stop drive offs taking to much as in filling Gerry cans.
