Just seen these in my local store, I know Morrisons often have theirs on offer but you rarely find the Sainsbury's ones which I prefer on offer.

Lidl ones are much much nicer, and probably cheaper too.

Good deal. Thanks. These have been 65p for so long. Nice to see them down in price. Will get 2 packs when I'm in store next. Heat!!

I know everyone has different views but...these are the best doughnuts bar none...FACT!!!

...Lidl...**** off! X) Even M&S can't compete with these...mmmmmmm!

Sainsbury's, Yuck - no thank you. Pretentious load of ****.

Are these the type where everyone can touch them before you buy them oO

PaulTheo

Agreed!

I always get them separately/fresh from the cake counter (3 for 2 normally). I always get told it's cheaper to buy them in these bags, but they are nowhere near as good, then the man behind the counter always looks at me like I'm stupid and says they are exactly the same!! I think it's the sealed bag that makes them soggy.

Anyway, good deal, but try the ones that are behind the counter separated with the cakes/buns etc.

My favourite supermarket doughnut as well! Lidl's aren't bad, but the store is a pain to get to for me.

No chance of buying doughnuts anyway,I'm all GU'd out

Just what all the Lard Ars** Brits need, another reason to be fat!!

The "fresh bakery" stuff in lidl is part cooked and finished in an oven often see staff putting trays of stuff in the ovens when ever I'm in one

Not much of us have a lidl near and many off us order groceries from sitting from home so these are great tasting

I agree, they do tend to 'sweat' in the current packaging. I preferred them when they were in boxes... ...in fact, when they changed the packaging I complained via email and got a reply stating that I could ask the baker to put 5 fresh ones into the bag for the same discounted price...it confuses them but the doughnuts are fresher.

Wow thats such a good deal, it was 65p now its 50p

I'll ask them to do that next time I am there, cheers!

I work in a Sainsbury's bakery, and I'll tell you, had you seen some of the work practices when the doughnuts are prepared will give a feeling of sickness in the stomach characterized by an urge to vomit (nausea). The doughnuts are fried in oil that is black, it gets changed once every six months. The doughnuts are coated in sugar that is dirty, the hoppers are cleaned once a few months and colleagues dip food in the jam and vanilla hoppers. If you eat these you'll "live less and die well". You might think I'm a disgruntled employee and, you'll be right. But that's a another matter, but, next time you go into Sainsbury's ask a colleague in the bakery, if they'll eat the doughnuts and wait for their response.

If that was going on and I were a disgruntled employee, I think I'd be calling Environmental Health and whistleblowing. Its very unlikely to be happening across all Sainsbury's stores as its simply down to invisibly poor management surely?

i dont eat duffnuts anymore but these are the only supermarket ones that I miss

But won't!

How come Morrison's doughnuts don't get a mention , they normally 50p for five and they do loads of flavors
custard is the best .

I've seen a little old lady sneeze over the bakery section at lidl. X)

sainsburys doughnuts are the best! have some heat!!!

I saw some workmen squeezing bread/buns,then put them back and picked some others ewwww

Well, each to their own, but from my nearest Sainsbury they are greasy and have too much congealed castor sugar over them. The lidl ones are nicely doughy, not at all greasy and dusted with icing sugar. They are a bit like the Polish Pączki, which are far nicer than anything I've had from a supermarket.

Sainsbury's doughnuts are unbeatable when it comes to flavour and no I don't work for them. Thinking about taking a trip into the city to pick some up. Heat.

50p normal price...
