5w30 engine oil - so cheap I could not give it a miss - if you have a BMW or VW which takes 6L like mine this is a bargain , OK it's not Castrol but Gulf is a big name it meets all the specs and you can change it twice as often (I intend too) !

Good find! Hot!

Used this before on a x5 3.0D I had and was happy with it. Not put it in my car though as I only use castrol but I can vouch for this oil!

Very cheap! Interesting it covers BMW LL-04 but not VW 504/507 which is VW's Longlife spec.

Is this dpf friendly?

ACEA has three main groups – “A/B”
for gasoline and light duty (passenger car, 4WD etc)
diesel engines, “C” for light duty three way catalyst
(TWC) and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) compatible oils,
usually low and mid
SAPS (Sulphated Ash Phosphorus
Sulphur)
and “E” for heavy duty diesel engines. These
can be defined as follows.

A1/B1
For use in gasoline and light duty diesel engines
capable of using low friction, low viscosity, and
low HT/HS shear (2.9 to 3.5cP) oils. A fuel
economy specification, this oil may not be able
to be used in all engines.
A3/B3
Stable, stay in grade oil intended for use in
high performance gasoline and diesel engines
or extended drain intervals.
A3/B4
For use in direct injection diesel engines where
special oils may be required, but also suitable
for applications described under A3/B3.
A5/B5
Similar to A3/B3 but for engines capable of
using low friction, low viscosity and low HT/HS
oils. May be unsuitable for use in some engines.
C1
Stable, stay in grade oil of A5/B5 performance
level and low SAPS (Sulphated Ash 0.5%).
These oils cannot meet API SM/SN.
C2
Stable, stay in grade oil of A5/B5 performance
and mid SAPS (Sulphated Ash 0.8%).
C3
Stable, stay in grade oil with mid SAPS
(Sulphated Ash 0.8%). These oils may also
meet A3/B4* and API SN. HT/HS >3.5cP.
C4
Stable, stay in grade oil similar to C1 but with
tighter volatility limits and no lower limit
on phosphorus.

Get the total ineo quartz 5/30 long life on the bay for 20 quid 5ltr.

4ltr's is a pain would have to buy two, fantastic price tho, would of preferred 5ltr for a few quid more..

Would this run okay on my Audi A4? I usually use castrol edge with VW spec, wonder if this would be okay?

Yes, I have the same car, I phoned my trusted mechanics and said that it should be fine, but it is always better to change the oil every year.

Not if your car has DPF which requires 504/507 vw spec. Check your manual to make sure

Depends:32508465-nk0JY.jpg
If it has a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) you'll need low ash spec'd oil (VW507.00)

Would this be the correct oil for my Skoda Rapid 1.2 TSI?

Bargain thank you! My local BMW dealer allows me to provide my own oil for a discounted service, I think they quoted about £60 if I provide my own oil. That's the next few services sorted

thanks heated and ordered - for all the compatibility questions just punch your reg into the euro car parts finder reg box and all suitable oils come up! This oil came up for my merc s320cdi - at this price its cheaper than the 1L bottles at the petrol stations - so just use as top up oil even if not compatible

funny - it would not come up on any search I did for my car - I could not work out why it was not recommended as I have to use LL-04 (as I have a DPF and CAT), but during my research I did learn a little about SAPS -
this one is mid SAPS -apparently more is better for the engine and stops engine wear but more is also bad for the DPF (this one has the same amount as Castrol Edge), so from what I found out low SAPS oil could wear the engine quicker - anyway given the choice I would rather replace the DPF than the engine
