5 x cool white bulbs also in stock: screwfix.com/p/l…21j
1st lot I got have all been fine so I will get another pack now they are in stock, thanks.
very good bought some last time, but they have been out of stock for a couple of weeks. Bargain , can't go wrong with a 3 year guarantee
Can you not but LED bulbs with the equivalent wattage of more than 60W?
Do they do small screw (e14)?
There is a code to use for money off at screwfix, I used it last night. I think it is £5 of £25, £10 off £50, £15 off £75. Something like that.

I have the voucher at home so will update this later. I think it was BLVNY3 (4) (5).

If you order online to collect you can use the code without having the actual voucher that was posted to me.

Wish I'd known about that yesterday, spent near on £200!
You should post that code as a deal in itself.
Thanks for the heads up OP.
Ordered and heated

Not cheaply and they tend to have short lives, overheating is still a problem. Virtual filament designs are your best bet, at a price, though its falling.

the code is linked to your specific account. Went to use it online got all the way but didnt pay, then went instore and the guy said to me it was already used, he logged into my account and took it off the order that wasnt finished and then it scanned in store
"15,000 hours average rated life"

The one we have in our kitchen just started strobing last night, it's had around 10 hours use. Needless to say I wouldn't trust the average lifespan

I found that rated tungsten equivalent wattage isn't really an accurate comparison on these bulbs. The technology seems to have improved greatly since the first led lights came out.

To me they seem more like an 80-100w equivalent (or a 20w florescent).

They're far far better than any cfl's I've used. Definitely worth trying them if you haven't done so already. And for £10 for 5 is a bargain esp compared to £7 each in many other places.

The cool white lights ideal for the kitchen or work areas, the warm white version better for other spaces.

Ok, just checked my order online.

The code I used was NYBLV4 which was £10 off £50 spend. I needed 4 packs of SES LED bulbs, so worked out well for me.

There is also a code of NYBLV3 which I think is £5 off £25 and NYBLV5 which is £15 off £75.

The code can be used to order online for instore collection or delivery.
Just picked up the cool white version this morning, actually not too much of a striking white as I thought, more a neutral white colour. I would recommend over the old warm white type as the output seems to be brighter.

NO, I meant I had a code previously, not your code!
Bought these last time on offer very good light output BUT only when used in pendant fittings that cast the light down.
Tried two in both horizontal and upward facing fittings very disappointing light output - also the cool light ones are far better.

I received this offer yesterday in the post, the voucher codes were at the bottom on a card, but you can either use them online or take them instore.

I ordered last night, paid by paypal and collected this morning. They don't need to see the card or letter when you collect to verify the code.

So that code is specific to you and your account, hence when i cant use it! That is what i was saying in my previous response about when i tried MY code online but didnt complete and then tried in store
Switched my house out for these after a rewire and the electricity savings make these pay for them selves.
Bought these warm white last time they were in stock. Very impressed with them, good light output about 60W equivalent.
I spent £41.50 on a 10pack of LED bayonet cap light bulbs a few days ago on Amazon...
Mine are dimmable though, not that I'll ever use that

More than pay for themselves. Switching from incandescent to LED will save hundreds over their lifetime.
This deal is a no-brainer. Great bulbs too.
Are the cool white 4000k more like daylight bulbs you can get not the really cold blue led types?
Thanks OP ordered
Bulbs purchased, thank you. Heat added.
Have replaced all CFLs with these or the E27 version and very satisfied. Found a rogue 100W in the spare bedroom which I've kept to feel nostalgic about in a couple of decades.

Any recommendations for dimmable GU10s? I've got about 16 of them and would like to eradicate.

If people want to give it a go and possibly save some money, fine. If they don't, again fine.
Very good quality and the light produced when compared to some SMD lights purchased on the cheap from eBay is so much better.
NYBLV3 is not working for me...

They are codes specific to you!
Slightly off topic, can anyone recommend an LED GU10 replacement for 11W long neck CFL's?

I see plenty of standard length LED GU10's at a reasonable cost so also wonder if anyone has come up with an adapter?
Its a lot cheaper than any other competitive retailer.Hot added

It's because they're usually more directional, if pointing where you need light less lumens are wasted elsewhere. Pointed wrong and they'll be worse.

Particularly pronounced with LED tube fittings, just replaced a 36W fluorescent with an 18W LED. On paper I'm getting 20+% less lumens but its sending 2/3 of them down were we want them and is noticeably brighter.

Hot, ordered.

thanks OP.
Got both cool and warm white a few weeks back.
Put cool white in the hallways etc.. it's a very white light, almost morgue like.
Put warm white in the bedrooms as it's much easier on the eye, however a little less brighter than the cool white
